OMG IT WAS AWFUL, I will NEVER tell anyone to stay there in fact I will worn them NOT to stay there. We checked in on a Thursday night , got to our bathroom turned on the light and see a cockroach (yuck), there was NO air conditioning in the hotel and we couldn't open our windows so had to stay in a room that was 80 degrees with no air movement. Next morning we tried to get in to a different hotel but everything was taken because of weddings /dog shows , and some race things that were going on in town, so we were stuck staying there as we live 15 HOURS AWAY from here . We had no choice. So we come back that evening after buying a fan and there is absolutely NO EMPLOYEES AROUND , everyone of them left this business unattended, we sat in the lounge , dining room for 3 1/2 hours and still no one showed up, so I see a cop down the road and asked him to come check and told him what was going on . Was told this kinda stuff is not surprising to them as they have had issues there before. The cop called a manager in Dallas that stated he had no intention of coming down 🤨 After the cops left a employee did finally show up , put in the time that they had no air and no employees a lot of people just left.So they did finally get the air fixed on Saturday but when we came back on Saturday evening there was NO HOT WATER . I picked this hotel from the pictures on its website, it looked BEAUTIFUL AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, HOWEVER there was no comfort here, a lot of frustration, irritation, HOT , couldn't sleep much because it was so hot, the dining room didn't get cleaned up, I don't understand how this place can run like that . When we asked the employee about a discount/refund on the cost of the room for being forced to stay here under these conditions we were told he couldn't do that. The only reason I gave it one star is because I...
Read moreService is a 3 star only cuz of Ms. B .. if it wasn't for her and her kindness and attitude .. it would be a one 1 .. anywho , see i didn't want to do this but it's been a week and i've been trying to get in contact with the manager Mr. Nathan and he's so busy let them tell it ... Apparently I can't get a call back to see what could happen about me being in a room with mold on the bed , literally around the top part of the bed .. I didn't notice it beforehand but when i did , i immediately removed my things and went to the desk and asked to get moved to another room ... it happened , no problem .. but of course when i checked out i mentioned it again to Ms. B cuz she was on shift ... and every since then it's like pulling teeth trying to receive a call back .. i don't like leaving reviews but when it comes to me and my money , i don't play about it and i expect to be in a healthy environment , no matter where i'm coming from or what i'm doing .. but now that i mentioned something about a partial refund , it's oh he stepped out blah blah .. nah , it shouldn't be like that smh .. now i have to expose the premises and i didn't want to .. sorry not sorry .. OH let me not forget about the spider that was on the shower curtain the next morning i woke up smh .. OH and let's not forget about the dead roach that was in the bathroom light smh .. but whatever .. aye whether y'all choose to book here again or not , check your beds for stuff like this smh cuz they don't care .. yea i wouldn't book here again even if it was the last hotel that had rooms left .. i don't care about no big discount whatsoever , my health is more important than that discount y'all see so yea , good day...
Read moreThis past stay was unfortunately our last stay at The Liberty, when we come back home to visit family this is where we ALWAYS stay for the past several years, but no more. Since Nathan passed away and The Liberty sold, we have given it three times,it just keeps going downhill more and more, the people that own it now flat don't care about the integrity about the beauty of the hotel anymore, right when you walk in, you see the manager laying on the couch, that's very unprofessional, and he does it all day long!! They don't speak English hardly at all, they're very rude,at least one of the men are, I witnessed myself a long haul truck driver that had also been staying there for many years, try to tell the manager, that his room was dirty, the toilet was broken and other things were going, but the manager kept talking on the phone, and just completely ignored him all together, he told me that it was also going to be his last stay there too. He also said that it's gone downhill since Nathan passed away. When we checked in, I had to yell for someone to come check us in, he finally came downstairs, there's also not hardly a breakfast anymore,it used to be really nice every morning, but not anymore,if you want breakfast,go next door to Our Place. When we got up to the room, I immediately noticed how humid, hot, dusty, hair in the bathroom and shower,it was just ridiculous,we will stay out towards the hospital from now on. It's no wonder the prices just keep dropping at The Liberty,it used to be 180.00 a night, which it was worth, now it's dropped to around 55, and you definitely get that quality. It's so sad that they let such a beautiful place go downhill in little...
