Overall it's a decent place to bring your younger children to swim. The entrance fee is reasonable. The kiddie pool is great. They have a couple of slides for the older kiddos but you can only slide the same slides so many times before it becomes old. The lockers are free but bring your own locks or they'll charge you for it if you want one. You can't bring your own food or drinks in ( they search your bags) and they are a little on the pricier side. They need to improve on the cleanliness of the bathrooms-just check it more frequently and clean as needed. My BIGGEST complaint about the place is that you are only allowed to swim in maybe 1/3 of the actual pool and the rest is corded off with noone allowed in it except for the lifeguards....so you have EVERYONE squished in this tiny section and there is literally not enough room to swim let alone do any laps or anything remotely considered swimming. So basically everyone just kneels down in the water to stay wet and cool constantly bumping into each other.😒 Last year they had a rock climbing wall and a diving board on the side noone's allowed to swim at and those were the excuses as to why noone was allowed on the other side of the pool. They have since removed those so I don't know why they still don't allow people on the other side but it's BEYOND annoying to see all that pool go to waste and you're packed in like sardines in a tiny part of the pool!! They do have quite a few chairs to sit on... a limited amount in shade under umbrellas. There's a good amount of free parking. Another thing, if you bring goggles they can not cover your nose or they make you take them off. Honestly if it wasn't for my younger kid wanting to go swimming I wouldn't go back again because of them cording off the pool and squishing us all in the small section as you literally have no...
Read moreDONT DO LAP SWIM The culture felt very "be invited or you're not welcome". The Cleburne swim team practices in the mornings and reserves 4 lanes to themselves. They do not use reservation signs to signify which lanes they want. I arrived as soon as they opened as 1 of only 3 people getting in the pool. 15 minutes into my workout the swim coach stopped me to say I was in a reserved lane. Again, there was no sign when I arrived and I intentionally got there early to choose a lane where I would feel out of the way. She told me I had to move to the other side of the pool where I was free to swim with the other 6-8 "lap swimmers" (all of which were in just 2 lanes). I didn't feel like it was fair to stop me mid-workout to make me leave after no reservation signs were posted. It seemed the coach had also asked one of the desk girls to come with her to tell me to move making it seem very official and that I was in the wrong. The coach was not pleasant to deal with. After she had successfully removed me from the lane an older women came into the pool yard and was headed to the lane I was just in. The coach then yelled at one of her students "get in the pool before someone else takes my lane!" I felt bad for the woman but was too embarrassed to stick around and give support. I paid $60 for 30 day. This was my first day and I will not be...
Read moreAs others have posted, I, too, am disappointed at the way lap swimming is being organized. Our daughter saved up and purchased a one-year family pass, excited to begin working out by swimming laps early in the mornings. Disappointment soon set in as we realized that all lanes except one were being taken up by a swimming coach from Sigma Swimming, and she was quite blunt and rude to my family. The one available lap-swimming lane was, as you can imagine, already being taken up by lap-swimmers. We were informed that Sigma Swimming would be present throughout the summer during lap swimming, taking up most of the lanes! I certainly understand that the pool is to be shared and there is nothing wrong with offering swimming lessons, but I do not understand the point of offering lap swimming and having at least 8 lanes set up, only to then discover that they are allowing one entity to take up almost 90% of the available lanes during the lap-swimming sessions. I feel if they reserved half of the lanes for swimming lessons and the other half for patrons wanting to lap swim, that would certainly be better. I also do not appreciate the Sigma Swimming coach being quite short and "huffy" with any patron who dares show up and attempts to enter one of the lanes for lap swimming. Other reviewers here have also commented on her bad...
