They were supposed to be helping me with rental assistance I complied as necessary was only behind that upcoming month had the entire month, relied on them. They didnāt do anything to protect me even though they said I was approved. I am now homeless, 5 something months later trying to pick up the pieces of my life after I had stability and shelter on the same place for the past 6 years. They told me they would pay to help me in a new place I applied they call back and tell me itās income based. I am on fixed income so it disqualifies me. They rather not help someone currently homeless who guaranteed rent paid every month over someone who works and can casually move from place to place breaking leases and laws. What happened to protecting people with disabilities and all the funding for these things? Very disheartening and not only that but they keep calling me telling me Iām approved for the place they told me I was disqualified for. I cannot get a clear answer if Iām continuing homelessness or if I was actually approved supposedly again after them saying that and me losing everything overnight. I mean not only my things but everything I owned I lost it all because that payment you said you would pay went towards me moving forward hoping you would keep your word. TVs beds furniture all my clothes everything gone. Thank you CHN for absolutely destroying everything I worked for and allowing this to happen to me yes I assume responsibility but you ultimately caused this. All I asked for was one month of rent because they cut my check since I worked taking care of my family member who is actively dying of cancer. I have absolutely nothing. Embarrassing I canāt even confidently go back to college as Iāve done the past almost 3 years because I donāt have a computer anymore I lost that also in the displacement. There goes my degree Iāve been working for! Had to sell my transportation just so I could live these last few months and thatās all dried up. Stanley should of been more proactive with me because I wasnāt just his paycheck.

Usually for the past 3 years ever since I started working we would go to Asian Action Services and get our taxes filed there. Never ever any problems, good customer service too and translators for the people who would need it. This year, 2024, I guess they werenāt doing it and my mom found CHN and we went with them. I guess she went with them because she thought they were still Asian Action Services since they were located in the same area. She filed hers a week before me and picked her up no later than that following weekend. I filed mines when she went to pick hers up. So far so good. There were people there that wasnāt there when I went to pick mines up after I got the call that my taxes were ready to pick up. When I went, it was just two older gentlemenās working, one being the general manager Elliot huff. First time I went to pick it up I sat for 20+ minutes waiting on my taxes just for him to tell me they werenāt ready and to come back tomorrow Saturday. I come back, same thing happens. Waiting a long time just to be told they arenāt ready. Got told to come back the following week on Friday. Same thing happens. Waited a while, told to come back. I come back the following day, same thing happens. So of course at this point, Iām pissed. At this point Iām wondering are my taxes lost this is ridiculous the amount of times Iāve been back and forth back and forth just to be told the same thing over and over again and not much actual any helpful information. Like if my taxes were lost, misplaced, misfiled, like at least something. Iām panicking thinking dang itās already about to be April we only have till the 15th to file our taxes, am i going to have to track down my W-2ās from all my employers, get my taxes and file them all over again and get them in before the deadline? Iām struggling financially right now so these taxes wouldāve been really helpful right now but now Iām panicking am I even going to get these? The general manager barely has any information for me, says it isnāt lost because āthey do not lose taxesā. So we left and 20 mins later as were getting off the freeway towards home, I get a call from the general manager saying that he has my taxes. Let me start from the beginning I had an internet appointment over the phone over the internet. She told me I was missing some documentation and she wanted to make sure i had a voucher and not something else. When I got there Metro Health CHN office she looked over my paper work and told me I need to fill out another form to prove my income and also bring a electric bill there also. i told her the electric bill is in my aunts name but she said she still need the account number. So I made another appointment to bring the information back to her.
She verified that the paper I had was indeed my voucher to pay my bills and she approved the information I brought back. Then she told told me that my bill will be paid in three to five days this was back end of July 2023. Now lets not forget in order to get this help you have to have a disconnection notice or your utilities is shut off. So im thinking cool they are going to pay the bill. So I did not think anything of it. So im checking to see if they paid everyday and the company still did not pay. Continued in another thread. I decided to go to the office at Metro Health and no one was there. After that I go again and again and again. Finally I decided to call another office and I kept calling telling these people that I got a voucher and I was promised a payment and they never paid etc and now it is three weeks later. Now I am in a worse position water cut off etc gas shut off notice.
So i decided to go to the office they tell me they do not have any information about me. I tell them about the Metro Health people never in the office and the officer at the metro Health office told me that the office is no longer there. The lady had me resubmit and she told me it will take three to five days to upload. i asked was she sure and she said yes. So im thinking everything is cool again. after two more weeks go by nothing is done again.
I go back down there after calling more than you would think. They tell me they do not have any information on me and that the office at Metro is no longer there any more and I just looked at this lady because this is the same lady I talked to too two weeks ago and I told her that. Then she told me again it will three to five days to upload because I gave her more information.
