This is a great place to go in Cleveland! Even if you don't necessarily go there with shopping in mind you will see things in this market that you will never see in normal mainstream grocery stores and I can promise you one thing... Even if you go here just to buy mainstream vegetables like carrots etc you will find shockingly lower prices than regular grocery stores.
Their produce selection here is interesting and abundant. That being said sometimes you do have to exercise a careful eye because you must keep in mind that this store supplies restaurants and so they have such a large quantity that sometimes things start to spoil before they can be pulled out of the bunch. One thing I always do get here is ginger root and other such spices which again are shockingly low priced.
They have the groceries section which as I have mentioned is filled with hundreds of interesting never seen items, and then they have another section of the store that is filled with items more for a restaurant to purchase such as friars and pots and pans. I got a ceramic coated pan here that I use constantly and it has resisted scratches and everything I love it! They also have rice cookers and dishes and plates.
Park to Shop is a wonderful place to visit and you will find yourself buying things you didn't even know you wanted! One forgivable thing to note, many of the employees do not speak English or if they do may still have communication issues. If you go there looking for a specific item and don't know where it is they may not be able to help you find it so you are left to further explore the store. That in itself is not a bad thing š I have not tried using any of the translation apps but wonder if those may be of assistance?
Either way you will have a wonderful time here and leave happy that you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest Asian market in CLE metro. The bigger mall one down the street isnt as good in my personal opinion. I like this one for its seafood and meat selection. Live seafood like crab, eel, and lobster. Odd meats like duck tongue. I didnt see fresh short ribs though, thats usually my go to when i go to markets.
Fresh kimchi. Good price.
Noodle selection is quite diverse and plentiful.
Produce was pretty decent. I noticed a few things that should be tossed out, but 99% was great.
The bakery area was surprisingly good. Usually thats the part of Asian markets thats not great if you ask me. But they have some great Japanese style breads and sweet pastries.
Frozen item section is best ive seen in the city. Plenty of soup dumplings, pot stickers, and more. Quite happy.
As for cleanliness goes. I didnt check behind vending machines and under tables cuz you knowā¦Iām normal lol. But to me i think it was acceptable. The smell may put off most westerners, but itās a normal Asian market. To me i like the smell, but im used to things like fish sauce. Would like to see the fish out front on ice over ice packsā¦.but nothing smelled so itās clearly working.
This is as close to an H Mart that youāre gonna get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst customer service. The worker needs to be properly trained. This is the second time I went there and both time I got treated very badly. I went there to get fish today, there was no one standing by the fish tank so I had to look for him then when I found him I told him I need 2 telapia fish. He started cleaning the fish skin and I got distracted for little bit. When I turned around he put the fish in bag without cutting or properly cleaning. When I asked him to cut it for me he rudely said āno I canāt do that now because you didnāt tell me earlierā. That was very rude of him, like first you werenāt even in your work place I had to find you and then you talk to customer in this tone. Anyway I left for checkout because I didnāt have any mood to shop and the lady in checkout was ringing my stuff so I thought I would bag my own stuff. When I went to go bag my items she goes No put all in one bag. I freaking have to walk to my apartment Iām scared the bag might rip but she says to put all my stuff in 1 bag. Such a cheap people. The worker needs...
