I shopped at the Stealyard Home Depot…. As I pulled into the parking lot a young sheriff sitting in his cruiser blocked a handicapped accessible parking space. His attention divided between flirting with an indecent woman and watching the entrance/exits of the store for the next theft to occur. I walked in the store and knew exactly what I needed. I approached the plumbing department and asked an employee to assist me with cutting a few pieces of gas line. After roughly 45 minutes of attempting to make the cuts, a supervisor intervened and completed the three cuts and threaded each piece. I explained to the supervisor that the total length of the three pipes that I needed was 63” and that I asked the previous employee to cut these pieces out of a 72” piece of pipe. Despite requesting that the cuts be made from the appropriate length pipe which would result in minimal waste and a lower cost the employee elected to cut the pipe from a 120” piece of stock leading to an increase cost and excess waste. The department supervisor replied, “you get charged for whatever was used.” I asked, “How is that fair when it was brought to the previous employees attention?” and once again I was told that I would have to pay for the employee’s error. Ultimately, the overcharge could have been avoided if the first employee could follow a direction or independently add (3) two digit numbers. The experience at this Home Depot was shady. Perhaps, this store should employ a sheriff for the inside of the store to prevent this form of theft from occurring to their customers...
Read moreThis shopping experience was at least one of the worst Home Depot shopping experiences I’ve ever had. This is my local Home Depot. I have been shopping here for years. I am starting out my own DIY little yard projects. I am practically clueless I know nothing… so I come in with questions everyone is but reluctant to help me huffing and puffing their shoulders. I even called out the one guy, Kevin or Calvin when we asked him for help on a question, and he reluctantly ran the opposite direction. It wasn’t until he heard my comment. When I said well can we find someone else who’s willing to help me? He decides to come over and inquire about what the question was. Then we later need help hauling out what we purchased to the car. I go ask the young lady for a supervisor who recently just sat at her desk to text on her phone, and once we called her over named Bessie or Besa , or Betty , she shrugged her shoulders like ugh 😑 I have to get up again don’t take a supervisor managers position or actually apply for a job if you don’t wanna work at it and yes this is Home Depot yes where it gets done or doing it gets easier do it yourself whatever the motto is but if I’m a customer and genuinely have questions you should genuinely want to help me and assist me and direct me to whatever it is you know...
Read moreI placed an order online for several things, went to pick up curbside. The person loaded my car and I assumed I had everything. Well, when I decided to build my garden I was missing 2 items. I'm a caregiver for my 88 year old Mom so making calls in the morning is best for me, however, I tried several times to call the store and let them know my order was short to no avail. No one picked up! Unfortunately, time passed and it was over 2 weeks but finally I spoke with a young lady. I explained my situation only to have her come back to say there was nothing they could do because it was over 2 weeks. Whattt, what? I am due the item I am missing or a refund but the manager Robert told the young lady I waited too long. Stay tuned.... Ok, so I owe steelyard an apology.😏 Apparently, someone put my 35 dollar package in the raised garden. It was still in a delivery bag so when I spotted it, and opened it I was surprised to see my order.😲 I'm happy now, so please forgive me and enjoy shopping at home Depot in...
