This is despicable. I have lived in clifton for 63 plus years and never saw the maham that was going on at the city council meeting last night. I can't believe I've voted for some of them. They act like children. The mayor has no control over the council or the city taxpayers. I'm appalled by the conduct of everyone. The recycling is a joke. I placed paper and TV dinner boxes in a barrel only to have it not recycled or picked up. The picture is going to be submitted. So people could see how they collect recycling. As you can see, it's paper and TV dinner box's it's not as if it was a Poland spring box. No, it's paper and tissue paper it really discourages people from recycling.

Plenty of parking at the city hall, the clerks section for complaints and for reporting purpose opens at 8:15am which is very convenient if you need to file any type of complaint or lost items. The downfall is the time they open to pick up the reports 10am to 4:15pm which is not convenient at all if you have a full time job. Hours should be adjusted at least one or two days a week to pick up police reports for people to go in early or late in the evening.

As essential worker is important to keep the main roads clear and safe post snowing. Very disappointed with the Town of Clifton for not dispensing salts on the main roads. Most importantly keeping first responders and essential workers safe. It demonstrates lack of leadership and caring for residents and essential/first responders in the community. YOU CAN DO BETTER!

I have lived in Clifton for 6 years and am so happy to be leaving! I have had nothing but bad experiences in every dealing with Clifton. My son overdosed a few years ago on the road by my house, not far from Target, when I called 911, no answer. Tried multiple times to call in a panic, but no luck. When I went to the Police Department for file a complaint they really didn't care and never followed up.

Apparently Clifton is not capable of tracking their building permits and when I recently sold my house, there was an open permit from 2010, which was 4 years before I purchased the home. I took a day off of work, waited for the inspector to come, who then told me that it couldn't be the same permit, because it was taken out in 2010 and the hot water heater was built in 2012. He closed the original permit, which forced me to pay $200 for a new permit, which was undoubtedly the same one from 2010!!!

Trying to get the C/O proved to be difficult as well, and after paying an extra $150 for a rush inspection, I'm still waiting for the paperwork, 3 business days later. The only answer I can get, is "call again tomorrow."

"The City That Cares" - what a joke!!! Should be more like Clifton - the city that just...

Corruption at its finest. Judge Thomas Brunt and James Sieradzki never arrive on time, and there is always a line to get into court. The administrators don't do their job, just look at facebook, and text on thier phone all day. Building department is the slowest in NJ. Took them almost a year to issue a construction permit so I can change my windows. Cops harrass you and lie to you just to write you a ticket, so you can wait more in court. The prosecutor isn't even capable of doing his job, he spends half the court session talking to the public defenders and checking facebook, which adds to further delays in court. What is going on here? I smell a scandal! The mayor gets a kick back from the vendors, most of which are his friends. Doing business with the town is a nightmare, they never pay on time, and they do it on purpose to get rid of you and have their friends come in and get the job.... The town council is a joke and only care about pushing thier own agenda. Frauds and fakes. You will not get a straight answer from any one here. This...
