Villa Roma Pizzeria & Deli — Restaurant in Clifton

I can't believe what I just saw. I am newish to town and am still familiarizing myself with all the local places. Decided to pop in and try their pizza. Having moved from NY the yelling across the place ( and at the delivery driver) did not bother me a bit (I could see that making some people uncomfortable but in my experience the pest pizza places have this atmosphere). The guy making the pizza even apologized for that which I would never have expected. Anyway on to my main issue: I ordered two slices. Then I noticed a sign and some cannoli shells and decided to have some. The cashier who was also packing delivery orders, had just finished counting my cash. As she was asking me how many cannolis I could not help notice that she began scratching her inner ear with her finger (it was distracting). Anyway after my answer of "three" she proceed to open the glass and pick up the shells with her bare hands. No tissue, no tongs, no gloves, nothing. The same fingers that were just in her ear. I don't know how she did not notice my face because I felt the involuntary look of disgust and my jaw drop a little. I could not even bring myself to address it. I paid almost 5.00 for them and threw them in the trash on my way out. If a place treats food like this 2 feet away from a customer, I cannot imagine what they do when no one is looking. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Chicken was hard as a rock in the chicken parm dinner. Customer service is atrocious. I was not looking for a refund or any store credit I just wanted them to know the chicken wasn’t fit for human consumption. Instead of making things right the worker wanted to lecture me about how he can’t control chicken prices and how he’s been there for 20 plus years and how maybe it’s the breading of the cutlet and how I should order grilled chicken next time…. ARE YOU FREAKIN SERIOUS! So it’s my fault the chicken was old and hard?!? Next time just handle the complaints without telling the customer what they should have done?!? Like, what?! Never again. Please do yourself a favor and skip this place. I WILL DEFINITELY MAKE SURE TO TELL ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Very rude people who own this place. We ordered a pizza that came brown/burned/well done (whatever you wanna call it, it wasn’t appetizing!). We went back to get it replaced and also get one more pie and they argued saying it was fine and we had come back to take advantage of the 2 for 20. There are countless pizza options in the area, no need to be disrespected by toxic people. This is not the first instance but we have had enough.
