Placed an order online , they went to fill the order and didn’t have one of my items , instead of calling for a same price replacement they just charged me the same price and then said once the transactions goes through I’d get refunded for the rest( which refunds can take up to 7 days at times to even be processed ). I called to ask if I can get a replacement seeing as I need the item that’s missing it’s sort of part of everything I bought to make a craft for my mom for Valentine’s Day . I was told no I had to buy a replacement separate and they aren’t allowed to call to ask if you want a replacement that once the order is filled they can’t do anything , I personally think this is ridiculous it’s not hard to replace an item at same price if need be , this kind of thing makes me not even wanna order online for Micheal’s anymore . Now I have to pay extra to replace the item and wait for a refund which is messed up because what if I didn’t have the funds to replace it ? The lack of trying to make the customer happy by trying to fulfill the entire order even if a replacement is needed is extremely disappointing. And the whole comment of “we aren’t allowed to call the customer to ask if they want a replacement for an item” is poor customer service in my opinion . Shame on you Micheal’s because that should be something you do , unless there are no replacements in which you should still call and let the customer know. Not email them with your choice of resolve which doesn’t help anyone. The person I spoke to was nice but now it all falls on me to find a replacement and pay extra to complete my order....
Read moreI am a longtime customer of Michaels of many years and this is by far the worse experience I’ve ever had. I went to the store to return items that I originally purchased through debit. As their website says and many other retailers, debit returns can also be processed as cash.
After processing the return the employee informed me that the only option coming up was to receive the money back through card. The manager CLAUDIO came to do what I thought he would, resolve the problem, but instead he became very irate and unreasonable. He informed me several times that Visa and Mastercard are solely credit cards. I insisted that those two merchants are not exclusively credit cards, but are also debit cards. He then proceeded to be condescending and offer to show me his own personal Visa card, which was a credit card.
I showed him my bank statement and debit card and he refused to honor the transaction. He continued to be nasty with myself and my partner, shaking his finger and raising his voice. He made it a point to mention that there were cameras and after we called attention to his disposition and poor customer service, he responded “Look at you.” I informed him that I would be reaching out to corporate, which he found laughable and became cocky about his performance as a manager.
This experience was embarrassing to say the least and I have never felt so undervalued as a customer. Avoid this Michaels...
Read moreI am happy they put this Michael’s Arts & Crafts in Styertown even though there was one already in Clifton on Route 3. That parking lot for the one onRt 3 is a nightmare. Since I seem to come here so often, it is easier to run in and get what I need. Staff is great. As of 10/28/21 they are still hiring but I have always been able to find help when needed.
Halloween things are down and the Christmas decorations are already going up.
11/22/21: Back at one of my favorite stores today. They keep getting more and more stock and a variety of items as well. I was able to pick up a couple of Halloween decorations at a huge discount for next year. I also picked up something’s for Christmas. Many of the Christmas items were on sale. Please note, it is highly worth it to join their Rewards Program if you plan on shopping there. You get money back to use on a future visit every time you buy something. They often have coupons on their website. They also give discounts to Teachers 15%, Military 15% and Seniors starting...
