Carvel — Restaurant in Clifton

Tonight I went in there for my daughters 12th birthday bought her a cone and asked her if she wanted anything else she saw a box with individual cups in it in a freezer and wanted them so I go to take them out and a little girl with dark curly hair that works there said sorry those aren’t for sale and I asked her why and she couldn’t provide a reason said employees only.. so apparently that freezer said employees only so I said ok no problem we will go somewhere else.. she said nothing the only thing that saved your store the sale tonight was the blonde girl said hey we have those over there another freezer so I bought them but that’s my last dollar I spend over here I’m in sales and how you treat people is number one.. that girl could have let us just take it and replace from other freezer I wouldn’t even know you had more if it wasn’t for the blonde girl stepping in to tell me.. I bought it reluctantly and they got my attitude the blonde girl didn’t deserve it though.. I live behind yall and will never return after tonight

I am calling out to the Owner(s) of this particular establishment..this Carvel Store needs an IMMEDIATE MAKEOVER!!! I have been coming here for years and you can no longer sit and enjoy your ice-cream. This place is disgusting and falling apart. The floors look filthy, the counters have cracks in them and need replacing, the paint and the wallpaper is chipped & peeling off and the chairs need to be upholstered, or better yet, Replaced! 🤦‍♀️ Please do your customers a favor and fix up the parlor. I'm sure everyone in the neighborhood and surrounding area enjoy coming here. Maybe then you can receive another recognition for Excellence which you have not received since 2013. Just...

Understaffed (2 employees serving a dozen or more line of customers), the couple of bistro tables for eat-in seating were dirty with sticky sundae toppings, the floor was littered and what appeared to be a fairly recent whitewash of the counter and ice cream cooler facade was already showing numerous areas with either pastel remnants of ice cream stains or areas that were poorly covered by a too thin coat of white paint. The ice cream was tasty, the help was courteous, but the conditions made things less appetizing.
