Well worth a stop, the museum is Handicap Accessible, they have a video to watch, interviews with people who recorded and worked here. The memorabilia is worth a look at. We found it worth the time and money, and we didn't know some of those oldies we like so much were recorded in Clovis, NM. We wish we could attend their next Clovis Music Fest in June 2109 but we won't be in the area.

After stopping at Buddy Hollly’s statue and grave in Lubbock it seemed only natural to pass by the recording studio where “That’ll be the day” in 1957. Unfortunately it was closed for renovation.

Del Keith visited with Jimmy Gilmore, George Tomsco the "Fireballs". This was at the bowling alley in Clovis. Del is on You Tube.. Del toured the studio in 1966.

Couldn't rate with no stars but it was absolutely disgusting!!!! Had to request our money back because there is no excuse for a place of business to be that filthy!!! I was so excited to visit and nearly vomited after seeing several bugs and droppings scattered across the floor!!! The toilets were filled with bugs as well and stained yellow! To our horror the management was well aware of how disturbing it was and made no attempt to notify us upon arrival. The one sign to avoid the mess was left out of sight but it is just ridiculous that a business would continue conducting business and not...

I couldn't believe famous people like Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, and The Fireballs recorded in Clovis!! I'm a native New Mexican and have traveled through Clovis so many times without knowing this treasure resided in Clovis. The museum is informative talking about "The Clovis Sound" or "7th Street Sound." I would highly recommend visiting. I will definitely be back for the Clovis Music Festival since they bring in great talent based on the old signs...
