I have encountered a store manager, Yessenia, several times on Saturday. She is always very unpleasant to speak to, where she would pass side comments “oh yea I remember you, you return a lot”. Why would I not, it’s my CONSUMER RIGHT! Each and every time I’ve encountered her, she has some or the other side comment to pass o to me. I have had enough of her, and this is the fifth time she’s insulted me, but cherry on top, she threatened me. My experience at Ulta, due to her, keeps getting worse, and worse. This time she threatened me that my account would be flagged if I continue to return luxury items. Well, I have stores that would want my business such as Sephora. If I would be getting such treatment from this manager at the Colma location, Ulta will no longer have their business with me.
I then called Ulta customer service, confirm if what the manager told me was true per their policies and procedures. They confirmed what Yessenia told me wasn’t true. They instead advised me to escalate the issue. So all in all, this was mistreatment and threat by this manager.
I then called her to check if that’s what she meant, and I told her it was a threat she gave me, and she repeated back to me, yes a threat. Then she goes on to talk over me, and then says she has to hang up. Horrible patience, and terrible customer service where the manager wouldn’t even speak or explain herself. Oh, she even mentioned she doesn’t have to explain herself. WOW.
Yes, this issue will be escalated, and I want to know why your managers would be threatening customers that are nothing but compliant, I have been purchasing items since 2013 at Ulta.

Read more!! This is for the salon service !! I had booked a session with "D" at the salon for a silk press . Mind you, I called before asking for an expert with curly hair. I quickly realized she was doing the wrong service because I was a salon manager myself ! For starters, when I was at the wash bowl, she was so aggressive with the scrubbing didn't do a double wash or put an olaplex treatment in ! (It comes with the silk press that's why it's $75!!) when moved to the chair, she was ripping out my curls so hard as she was blow drying it . Then the worst part was she burned my whole scalp ! I had to wash my hair out because of the sores on my head ! She rushed my whole service & didn't even give the full service ! She might be fine with regulars or fine type hair but my service was absolutely terrible . I still got charged for a silk press even though I didn't get that service & I still left a tip because I know times are rough during these times. It's just sad I'm just now realizing I got taken advantage of, which I believe is true because I’ve had similar encounters before because of how “young” I am. I gave one star because the manager that helped me after was very helpful & kind . Not for the stylist . Forgot her name but she has long ginger curly hair . Fair toned . moral of the story is if you don't enjoy getting rushed or your hair pulled out or even the service YOU PAY FOR don't book with this woman .
