Glossi Nail Bar — Local services in Colma

Based on two visits, I would never come back and do not recommend this place. The biggest issue for me is the cleanliness of the place and the lack of diligent cleaning practices between clients. The first time they were super busy and were moving through clients pretty fast. I wasn’t happy with my nails or the pedicure but I assume it was because they were busy. I also noticed it wasn’t that clean in general. But again they were busy. I went the second time because they were open late and I thought I could get in and out pretty fast. They were not as busy but I still waited for a chair. When I sat down I noticed there was some water left in the basin that I could feel through the liner. Again I was not happy with the services I received for the price I paid. They were not busy but still did the bare minimum but just at slower place. The lady who was doing my pedicure got up to wax some guys back during my pedicure. But the main reason why I do not recommend this place is because they reuse tools between clients without sanitizing. When I got up I noticed the pedicure basin that I was sitting in had standing nasty murky water from who knows how long. They offered me a single paper towel to dry my sleeve that fell in the water. When I got up to pay, the owner just told me my total without even bothering to look up. I asked her if that was safe to have sitting dirty water and she said, of course because they use liners. This place does not meet my standards and I think if you decide to go here you should take note of the cleanliness and general sanitizing practices that they are...

So it was my off day. I initially Had plans to go to another nail salon in San Bruno. When I arrived at other nail salon they told me that I was not able to get my nails done because they were closing soon and already had two people ahead of me. So I was extremely saddened by that information until my sister called glossi nail bar And they were able to take me. I was literally overjoyed when my sister told me I was able to get my nails done. We made our way to the nail salon and they were in fact Covid 19 prepared. Liz (the manager) Did my full set of nails and gave me exactly what I wanted. Most nail salons do not take your time with shaping but I was very pleased with what Liz did for me. I will be returning I was very Satisfied and grateful. I had a 2p appointment and they said it would be 220p before someone could do my nails. I came back and the older gentlemen with the blond tip in his hair was extremely rude. He took the nail polish off and as he was taking it off it went under neath my nails. I asked him if he could remove it and he started yelling saying that because it was just a polish change he didn’t want to fix what he messed up. He said the salon doesn’t normally so polish changes but I come here every week to get it done. He then said he doesn’t do them. So I asked if someone else could do it. The gentlemen upfront said it would be an hour before someone could do it. I said I would wait. The older gentlemen went to the back and told the person back there not to do them.
