Hampton Inn Colorado Springs Northeast — Attraction in Colorado Springs

Stayed here for a few days and I was very happy with the experience. The hotel was very clean, and still so new that some places in the building still smelled like new construction. The staff was friendly and patient. Breakfast ran surprisingly late, unless I just don't go to enough hotels, because it was from 6am - 10am, perfect for people who need to sleep in. The location is on Powers and Barnes, pretty much right in the center of the entertainment hub, super close to the movie theater, the local baseball stadium and soccer field, and plenty of places to eat and shop. And if you're lucky and get a front-side room and you're here for a summer Friday night, you'll see the fireworks the baseball team puts on every Friday.

Only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was because of the room doors. They are so heavy that you just CAN'T close them quietly. Even if you are able to pull the door forward slowly, once it reaches the door frame, it WON'T close. You HAVE TO slam it. So, you end up being That Person who is always slamming doors at the hotel. Once everyone goes to sleep, its no problem, but if someone is leaving early in the morning, prepare to wake...

New hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Special shout out to the woman working the front desk, Michelle. She was helpful and patient with us when we asked to change rooms. It wasn't on them, I just wanted a room with a tub because we were traveling with a baby. FYI all King rooms are showers. Switched to a 2 Queen room which was perfect.

Laundry on site at the end of the hall on the first floor. $1.50 for a 30 min wash and $1.00 for a 45 minute dry.

Indoor pool! Open 6AM-12AM.

Breakfast is small, but a nice selection. Eggs or omelets and a meat, either bacon or sausage. They have waffle makers and juice machine as well as milk, yogurts, and fresh fruit. Double special shout out to D, the young man who works the breakfast in the morning. He's always in a good mood and willing to get/help you with anything while keeping that whole station spotless.

The management/ownership was present on one of our mornings and they were also kind and eager go assist me should I need it. We intended to stay just a day, but our travel plans were delayed and each day they extend me without a headache.

This is a newer property. We found the front desk and housekeeping staff to be friendly and attentive. Our room was quiet, very clean and the bed, linens, pillows, bath amenities were all of very good quality. There are numerous restaurants within a short distance of the hotel. The breakfast had several varied offerings that changed every day. We did not use the pool, exercise room or the hot tub but they all looked very nice. I am a diamond level member and we have stayed in numerous Hampton Inns. We noticed that this "newer version" does not seem to offer the luxury appeal that older Hampton Inns offer. We were not bothered by this change but we do like to get the most for our money. That is not to say that we did not enjoy our stay, because we did.
