I absolutely love the chicken salad at the Chicken Salad Chick. They have some classic as well as unique chicken salads that have definitely been on point. It’s always clean and the restaurant is super cute.
It is pricey, however, I do try to go here about once a month.
Luckily, I’ve ordered the majority of my Chicken Salad Chick orders online. I’ve done this, because it didn’t seem like the service. was that great the first couple of times I went in.
Today, I spontaneously stopped in and wanted to redeem a free drink with my meal. However, I had to pull up the app which I had not installed, as I usually just order online. I decided not to redeem it as it would take some time to install it.
While waiting for my meal, another customer tried to redeem something from their rewards system, but could not because she was not able to get online.
In my experience, most rewards systems are connected with the phone number, and it’s as easy as just letting someone know your phone number to redeem the rewards. With this in mind, I highly recommend only ordering online or through Chicken Salad Chick’s App as I didn’t earn points or redeem my reward ordering at the counter.
Plus, the service felt worse today. It always feels like any questions I ask are bothersome, and today was no different, but I guess more annoying because I could not redeem my rewards.
I feel there is a lot of improvement regarding customer service here and I will continue to order online instead of ordering from the counter.
Also, the sandwich shop next door has excellent customer service, and I have started switching up my sandwich options, especially if I am spontaneously picking up a sandwich, rather than planning it ahead of time.
However, I’ll still be coming back to the Chicken Salad Chick because the chicken salad is yum. If they continue to work on their customer service and make their rewards system more loyal customer friendly, I may go back to the counter. Read moreI went here for the first time. Line was about 5 deep, but moving slow. I ordered original sandwich combo with broccoli salad. I don't drink soda, so I asked for a cup for water. I then see on the screen $1.50 pop up. I asked the girl at the register do they charge $1.50 for a cup just to get water. She confirmed yes, I told her to take it off because that's ridiculous.
I waited 12 minutes for the two items that I ordered in the combo. They were very slow coming out with food. I saw lots of employees standing around talking, but 12 minutes? It's just chicken salad, it's already pre-made as well as the broccoli salad. People are in a hurry for lunch. How long does it take to put a scoop of chicken salad on two pieces of bread and drop some broccoli in a container and move on. It seemed like everyone was just leisurely taking their time with no sense of urgency. You would think with so many employees on shift, this would be a well-oiled machine. You might as well get rid of some of the employees they're not working.
The chicken salad was good, but nothing to write home about it's just chicken salad. I will say the broccoli salad was fantastic, probably the best that I've had. However I will not be returning to this restaurant. You may think that giving one star is petty for these reasons, but charging customers $1.50 for a cup so they can get water is petty. Management should watch a corporate video about The Pickle, which is about giving customers small tokens of appreciation so they'll come back. When she finally turned around then she wanted to assist me. But whatever not that big of a deal. I picked up my order and made an additional order of soup and a slice of cake. Well the guy waiting ahead of me was offered silverware and extra crackers upon receiving his to go order. When it came to mine, and I didn’t realize until I was already back at work. I didn’t receive any silverware. I wasn’t offered extra crackers. But the main thing is I didn’t receive silverware for my soup or cake. Not only that but my sandwich was missing the lettuce, tomato and bacon. All I got was white bread and pimento. I was also missing my broccoli salad that I paid extra for. The soup and cake was delicious when I was able to track down a spoon at work and eat it. My sandwich could have been better if it had what I paid for on it. I’m just going to imagine how good the broccoli salad was. It’s extremely disappointing going out and spending all this money for things you do not receive.
