THE MOST TRANQUIL IMPACTFUL POWERFUL PLACE IN LITTLETON COLUMBINE AREA HAS AN EFFECT IS A MEMORABLE SOLEMN PLACE TO REMBERATE CHERISH LIFE AND EVEN CELEBRATE LIFE OF PEOPLE AND A COMMUNITY SHOCKED BY THE HORRIFIC TRAGEDY OF THE SHOOTING AND HOW WE OVERCAME AND TRIUMPHED WITH LIGHT IN OUR HEARTS THE COLUMBINE COMMUNITY IS BETTER PLACE TODAY. I AM FORMER STUDENT OF LEAWOOD ELEMENTARY WHEN THE SHOOTING TOOK PLACE I WAS ACTUALLY ONE OF THE FIRST HEAR ABOUT REPORTS OF SHOOTERS AT COLUMBINE, BECAUSE I WAS OUT OF THE CAFETERIA ON LUNCH BREAK GETTING SOME WATER FROM THE FOUNTAIN AND OVERHEARD SOME HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THAT WERE IN THE AREA OF COLUMBINE OR WERE JUST THERE AND CAME DOWN TO LEAWOOD, REPORTING TO MY PRINCIPAL THAT THERE WERE SHOOTERS AT COLUMBINE. I REMEMBER PANIC ENSUING BOARDING OF WINDOWS LOTS AND LOTS OF POLICE AND PARENTS PACKING THE HALLWAYS ALONG WITH COLUMBINE STUDENTS. IT WAS ALWAYS WILL HAVE A PROFOUND EFFECT ON ME. I REMEMBER, I WILL NOT FORGET, EVER!!! GOD WINS THAT DAY FOR ME GOD BLESS DAVE SANDERS...

The Columbine Memorial is a deeply moving and powerful place of remembrance. Set in a peaceful area of Clement Park, it offers a quiet space for reflection and honors the victims and survivors of the tragic events of April 20, 1999.

The design of the memorial is incredibly thoughtful, with personalized inscriptions and messages from loved ones that give insight into the lives lost and the impact on the community. The “Ring of Remembrance” is especially touching, with heartfelt tributes that allow visitors to connect with each individual story.

The setting is serene, surrounded by nature, making it a respectful and calming place to process and reflect. It’s a must visit for anyone wanting to pay their respects or learn more about this moment in history. The memorial truly captures the spirit of hope, healing,...

20 years almost past and I still get trauma by getting flashbacks during that incident. So many changes after 2 decades. At that time, Nokias and stereo cassettes were a thing. Social circles were mostly gatherings in the flesh and not by social media. Prejudice was really hectic during its time and bullying was a prime factor to breed terror and fear. A time when security was really vulnerable. It's really crazy how our lifestyles changed over the years and hopefully this school year would help make us remember the fallen and be a hero. A hero with strong faith, not just to impress our loved ones. But all our classmates and staff as well. Don't let envy and hate control your emotion, because it will definitely will cause permanent harm to everyone and ourselves. I hope for the best to all of...

I'm glad that I made the opportunity to come here. What happened at Columbine in April 1999 had a major influence on me and my classmates as we moved through middle and high school. Nothing was quite the same after Columbine. The memorial captures the same sentiments felt in 1999. It's set away from the school and the adjacent park, which provides the solitude needed to pay respect to the victims, their families, and all affected. The only negative about the memorial is that there are super aggressive black birds nesting around the memorial. Be careful if you visit during the spring and summer. They made it impossible to stay at the inner part of the memorial for too long.

This beautiful, peaceful, respectful tribute is nestled in a park next to Columbine High School. Serene views of the mountains on one side. A circular design ensures privacy for visitors. Each victim has a space with information and stories or quotes, and there are built-in ledges for visitor items such as flowers, etc. I chose not to photograph most of that area. There are also engraved quotes and stories from survivors and those impacted. Very poignant words and a reminder of innocence lost, precious lives, and of sacrifice. I cried the entire time I was there.
