I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lake House Kitchen + Tavern in Littleton, CO, and I can't help but share my amazing experience! From start to finish, the restaurant impressed me with its delightful atmosphere, exceptional service, and mouthwatering dishes.
Let's start with the appetizers. The Buffalo Dip at Lake House Kitchen + Tavern is a must-try! The creamy, tangy blend of buffalo sauce and cheese, served with warm tortilla chips, is the epitome of comfort food. It's the perfect combination of spicy and savory, and I couldn't get enough of it.
Moving on to the main courses, the seared Walleye was an absolute standout. Cooked to perfection, the fish had a crispy exterior and a tender, flaky interior. The flavors were harmonious, and the dish showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs at Lake House Kitchen + Tavern.
Another highlight was the perfectly cooked dry rub wings. These wings were a flavor explosion! The dry rub had just the right amount of spice, creating a balance that made them irresistible. The wings were juicy and succulent, making them a crowd-pleaser for sure.
Now, let's talk desserts. The Bread Pudding at Lake House Kitchen + Tavern is divine. It was warm, soft, and packed with flavors of cinnamon and vanilla. The generous drizzle of caramel sauce on top took it to another level. Each bite was like a sweet symphony in my mouth.
For a fun and interactive dessert experience, I highly recommend trying the S'Mores. The Lake House Kitchen + Tavern provides all the ingredients, including marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate, to create your own gooey and delicious treats. It's a delightful way to end your meal and bring out your inner child.
I can't forget to mention the Cheese Curds, which were simply delightful. The crispy, golden exterior gave way to warm, gooey cheese inside. Each bite was heavenly and left me wanting more. They were the perfect snack to share with friends or enjoy as a standalone appetizer.
Last but not least, the French Dip sandwich at Lake House Kitchen + Tavern deserves a special mention. The thinly sliced, tender roast beef, served on a fresh and crusty baguette, was accompanied by a flavorful au jus for dipping. It was a comforting and satisfying meal option that left me completely satisfied.
Best patio in the...
Read moreVery mixed bag this time. My wife and I have been coming here for 3 years now, and love the outside patio with the lake view. It's absolutely gorgeous, and the food is generally good, but not consistently. Latest travail is an order I typically get for my birthday dinner there - a blackened prime rib (only served on the weekends, and not on the menu as blackened, but they will do it if requested). This time, the kitchen staff was apparently new and they said they couldn't do it, and the waiter came back and relayed the message after 15 minutes of a salad and glass of wine. Then the waiter paused, realized that that was not correct and left to discuss with the kitchen. A minute later the prime rib came not blackened (the deliverer was not the waiter). A minute after that the waiter showed up and offered to get the steak blackened and I said ok. 2 minutes after than the dish was delivered, with the seasoning just sprinkled on the beef, without touching the grill again, which just came completely off in the au jus. This for $35. The manager came out (unrequested, at least there's that), apologized, said the kitchen was new, and asked if all was ok. I said it was, but I'm not one to make a scene, and my wife was there with both of us wanting a low stress pleasant time. Prime rib quality can very quite a bit, and the cut for this meal was actually better than most I've had, so I focused on that, and the experience of being there. They didn't comp the ticket, nor my half, which I would have thought would have been done in this case. My wife had the Chicken Piccata, which I had the last time we were there, and we both love that dish, and the brown sugar and ginger carrots that can be ordered on the side. All in all, I've rated LH 3 stars service, 4 stars food, and 5 stars atmosphere, so not terrible but not the best. As for cost, you are definitely paying for the experience, I think it's about 25% higher than other places are considering the quality...

He had the staff prepare a table on the patio for us as I initially reserved. Our family was able to enjoy the great food, service and the Clement Park fireworks! It turned out to be a wonderful evening for our family. Mario came to our table and apologized in person as did the GM, Santana. We weren’t comped any food, but the fact that they were willing to correct their error meant a lot to us as we frequent the restaurant.
My husband and I eat at the Lakehouse Tavern and Grill often and have been repeat customers for YEARS. We were told by the wait staff LAST YEAR that we could call ahead and make a reservation for the patio for July 3rd so that we could enjoy dinner and watch the fireworks from the patio. I called in May or June and made the reservation. I asked SPECIFICALLY for whoever I spoke with to confirm that it was for the patio. That employee again confirmed that we had patio seating so I thought it was set! I called LAST WEEK to confirm that we had patio seating and it was again confirmed. I just got off the phone with the GM and he told me that patio reservations had to be made through him and that we were not on his list, so our reservation was for inside!!!! I was LIVID after calling to confirm THREE TIMES AND GETTING CONFIRMATION FOR THE PATIO ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT WHOEVER TOOK THE RESERVATION HAD MESSED UP!!!! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! YOU HAVE LOST REPEAT...
