Left us cold.
We tried this restaurant today, and when we walked in the door, I remarked about how chilly it seemed in there. It felt like it was about 58 degrees.
There was a woman working on some things in the back, and it took her a couple of minutes, and me calling out to her, to get her attention, and get her to come and seat us.
The service was about a 4, on a scale of 1-10. Instead of serving the food in courses - like soup first, and then when we're done with that, the pu pu platter, and then when we're done with that, the main entree, the pu pu was put on the table at the same time as the soup, which contributed to the pu pu getting even more cold, while we had the soup - IF that was even possible. ( The pu pu was like it had come out of a refrigerator.)
The soup and all the rest of the food, was served cold - as if it had been in a refrigerator. So much so that I asked if the ribs in the pu pu platter were even cooked, and she said that they were, but that we could warm everything up on the top of the fire pot, if we wanted to. We wanted it served hot - not to have to warm it on the fire pot.
The food was good, but the portions of the main entree were about half of what we've been getting at Imperial Dragon, which are admittedly very large.
But all in all, this restaurant left us cold. Cold in body and with cold food. Unless someone can convince us that this was just a bad day for them, we won't...
Read moreI have been there twice and each time the food ranged from average to delicious. The problem, though, is with one of the waitresses. It's as though she's on speed, because she tries to remove dishes before we're done with them (even though the restaurant is by no means crowded), and when she packs up the food to take home, she either leaves half of in the dish or slops it all over the table! I am NOT kidding! My husband complained that he had rice all over his arm! I saw at least a cup of wasted food go all over the table.
I think some of the problem is that styrofoam containers aren't cheap, so she tries to use the small ones and thinks you won't mind if she doesn't give you all your food. When I said I wanted three containers for our food, she actually took back two medium-sized ones and brought back small ones. When the food wasn't going to fit, she just slopped half of one dish on the table and in another case, tried to leave it in the dish. I don't know about you, but I want ALL of the food I pay for.
If styrofoam containers are going to ruin the business, they need to charge the extra penny, and maybe think about using another family member...
Read moreSoooo this restaurant is under new owners and I had been wanting to go here but never had the opportunity. Until recently and I had no idea what I was missing, I had a couple of go to Chinese restaurants and one main one. But after meeting with the new owner and trying what seems like homemade very traditional foods I highly doubt that I'll ever see any of those other restaurants! She puts soooo much love into her foods it leaves you coming back just to try everything on the menu and she will modify them for you if you have a food allergy or want something different 💯💕! So far I've had the mushu and shrimp padtai and they are absolutely a tasty explosion 💥 of delicious food 🍲 you will no forget or be disappointed by any means 😊🙏🏾🍲💥🎊💯💕! I highly recommend this restaurant it's now my number 1 with a bullet ask for June and she will be more than happy to help your taste buds out...
