This was Our First(1st) time there and at The Black Expo! The space at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center was perfect for this event. Each booth having enough space for their displays and foods. There were so many booths there! So many foods to try and so much information pertaining to Education(Different Colleges), Financial institutions(Banks), Health, Live Concerts being performed, Music from different Radio Stations showcasing DJ's along with Movie/Television Star(s). The experience there was Absolutely 💯 Amazing. Those that attended were Not just from the local and surrounding areas but from as far as Atlanta, ready to taste the different foods and receive as much information being given. One of the booths that We were at gave information about the Lifewave X39 Patch. The information given was about how using their patented(over 120+ Patents)technology(LifeWave X39 patch) that Activates and mobilizes the body's stem cells which can help support immune function, manage inflammation(reduce), mental clarity, have more energy, better sleep, reduce stress, and more.

Read moreTonight was my first time attending an event in our beautiful convention center. I have lots of great feedback for anyone considering an event here! First of all, there's plenty of well lit, free parking. I thought it was overall a very lovely event venue! The entire venue feels nice and spacious with soaring ceilings, modern architecture and a sophisticated style. There were multiple events going on this evening, including a dance competition, which I fully anticipated being a noise interference. The event I attended was upstairs and spanned half of the upstairs space. I was pleasantly surprised that noise interference from other events was a non-issue!
Every area we explored was spotless and the staff members were all professional, friendly and helpful. The restrooms were beautiful with no sign of trash in sight. The appetizers were yummy, the flow was uncongested, and everything was kept incredibly clean and free of clutter from empty glassware.
Once the doors opened for dinner, my husband and I were the first to enter the banquet room. I thought everything looked fantastic and perfectly planned. Bravo to the prep team and event staff!! We enjoyed an absolutely delightful dining room experience. The tables, décor, place settings, lighting and music volume were all just right if not perfect. We had sweet tea, water, salads, bread and dessert on the table upon arrival. Tables were set for 8 and the chairs were plenty comfortable with no arms.
Our food temperature was on-point and I thought everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend to orhers for business purposes! Great job to the entire event management and staff. Y'all are doing a noticeably...
Read moreI was here for a two day convention recently, and grateful to attend in such a nice space. Positives are it is a very comfortable and well organized space for this purpose. All was set up well, bathrooms were cleaned regularly, and the food included was good (it was free for me and I am not here to be a food critic- it was good), especially the desserts that were truly fantastic. They had snack stations set up for between times with constant hot coffee, water, soda, and beverage service, and cookies, brownies, etc. which was a very nice perk. They did a good job of catering. There is some room for improvement, which includes the super slow wifi which I couldn't even connect to it was so slow, and the signal downstairs is very bad so you will miss messages and calls. I also noticed the food service during lunch was done in a way that was very strange and inefficient. The salads and desserts were already on the table upon entering the room, and the salad dressing was in a cup that all had to pass around the table to share. Then, many many servers run individual lunch plates from the kitchen from front of the room to back, and then gather used plates by hand with no tubs, which took an inordinant amount of time and was super distracting during the lunchtime session which had speakers. I understand that serving a very large room of 500-700 people for lunch is difficult and buffet style would possibly take too long, however, there are many ways to do this much more efficiently. This was odd to see. Overall, it is a great space for this purpose, and I would recommend...
