As a returning customer who once praised this establishment for its food, I’m left stunned at how catastrophically they failed me—not just in service, but in basic human decency. After a brutal 12-hour shift—one of many burdens I carry lately—I did what most hardworking people do: I sought a moment of comfort in a familiar meal. Instead, what I received was a disrespectful, disorganized, and emotionally exhausting experience that unraveled what little peace I had left in my day. I called ahead around 9:45 PM, well before their posted closing time of 10:00. Not only was I met with no courtesy, I was abruptly told, “we’re not taking any more orders,” and then hung up on. No explanation. No apology. No mention of a phone order cutoff—and certainly nothing about this arbitrary rule listed on their website or anywhere else. Just pure indifference. But rather than retaliate, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I got in my car, burned my gas, and drove there in person—hoping to still get a warm meal. That choice, in hindsight, felt like walking willingly into disrespect. I waited another 30 minutes inside, exhausted, hungry, trying to salvage a night that was already falling apart. And for what? A meal so carelessly assembled it felt like an insult. I explicitly asked for no vegetables—a simple, reasonable request. Instead, I was handed fried rice absolutely flooded with onions, mushrooms, and worst of all: broccoli, my most hated food on this earth. I had to sit there, picking through the mess like I was doing surgery on my own dinner, still tasting the vegetables in every bite. It was disgusting, and I say that without exaggeration. And let’s be clear—this isn’t just about bad service. This is about psychological erosion. When you're exhausted, hungry, and barely keeping things together, even a small act of negligence can feel like betrayal. The disrespect, the confusion, the wait, and finally the inedible result? That’s not a bad night—that’s a complete emotional failure of customer care. It speaks volumes when an establishment prioritizes closing up shop over serving the very people who keep them in business. If your staff is so eager to leave that they can’t handle basic service or honor clear requests, maybe it’s time they reconsider the industry they’re in. Hospitality isn’t optional—it’s the foundation. And in this economy? Where money is tighter than ever, and people are working longer hours just to make ends meet? I wasted my hard-earned dollars on a meal I couldn’t even finish. That’s not just inconvenient—it’s infuriating. There was no ownership, no fix, no gesture of professionalism. Just a complete failure to deliver on every level. And the worst part? I’m not some first-time customer—I came in trusting them, expecting the same quality and care I once praised. What I got was the exact opposite—and it left a lasting impression, for all the wrong reasons. Bottom line: Their food being “good sometimes” is no longer enough to justify this level of chaos and carelessness. Businesses don’t thrive on food alone—they thrive on respect, consistency, and honoring the time, money, and dignity of the people who support them. And this place failed...
Read moreI ate at Tsunami for the first time in several years. I remember the food being fairly decent and the atmosphere being lively. Unfortunately, I threw up my order in the bathroom before we left. I ordered a bowl of edamame, spicy tuna sashimi, a Georgia peach martini, and a lemon drop martini. The Georgia peach is what I ordered first. It did not taste great but I assumed I simply did not like the drink and decided to try something else. The edamame could have used a little more salt, but — again — I assumed it was me and did not mention it to our waiter. When the lemon drop came, it was not a lemon drop at all. It tasted like sprite and vodka. I would have rather the bar tender say they were incapable of making the drink than to provide something so lackluster. I sent it back. The culminating experience was the spicy tuna sashimi. When it came to the table the fish had a different texture than tuna usually does. It was firmer. I cannot comment on the taste of the fish itself as it was masked by the sauce. The sauce was oddly sweet and tasted like it had a bit of artificial sugar, perhaps. I took several bites of the fish as I was hungry and had decided to power through the meal. About 5 minutes after I began eating I felt slightly nauseated. I stopped eating the fish and began to sip a lot of water in hopes of calming my stomach. Several minutes later I burped and feared that I would vomit on my friends. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom. I had hardly made it through the door when I lost my dinner and most of my lunch. I’m not sure what was going on with the tuna but I fear it may not have been tuna at all and had started to go bad. Our waiter (Dalton? Dylan? It was loud in the restaurant) was really kind and patient despite the manager being short and rude when my friends shared the concerns about the fish while I was...
Read moreWent here for my daughter’s graduation dinner. Very accommodating with the reservations and time change request for us. The server was pleasant but for a party of 12 there should have be 2 servers. He got some of the orders wrong and the kitchen took over 1 hr to CORRECT one order that we just ended up getting that order to go. (THIS WAS THE FiRST PERSON TO ORDER) 11 people received their food but my man had to take his home because it took that long for them to correct it. All they were doing was adding med well steak to his plate. They missed the mark on what was a joyous occasion. The alcoholic drinks were watered down. Too much ice….the manager was informed of our dissatisfaction and she gave us 1/2 off the late plate…. If we didn’t want it then she would give us a refund on that plate but would take the food. :) at this point we were already frustrated. The rest of our party left and here we’re still waiting for his plate. So we took the 1/2 off took the food home. Good thing he had appetizers to hold him over. I couldn’t eat my plate because I wanted to enjoy dinner with everyone. I was so disappointed because I really wanted to like this place. The food was ok, I have had better. Definitely should have gone somewhere else. Oh, and my order was incorrect but I told the server that’s ok. I’ll keep it. Good thing I did. I felt the manager could have given that meal for free but hey we will just spend our...
