Treasure Village — Attraction in Columbia

Definitely avoid this scam of a family and friends business. You think you are getting good deals but, they will overcharge you, leave off items, take every tag off of every item never to be seen again and then claim they have no way of knowing what happened when questioned. If you complete the transaction you are completely screwed!! The owner Laura said the vendors take turns running the register they they are not paid employees. Her story changed a few times within the time we were there. So who knows what to believe but, I am positive this place is a joke and running a scam to take customers money. When asked to please pull the camera footage, please pull the audio, so she could see what the two cashiers Nicole and Lisa were doing, she would not and said that wouldn’t help her, it wouldn’t show her anything. Although, I believe it would help her to see the shady business Nicole and Lisa had going on during this transaction. We asked her to let us bring all items back in and look through them with us. She wouldn’t help us at all and she said that she didn’t have time to do that. She had contracts to look over and she would take pictures outside in the back of our vehicle and look at them in the comfort of her home when she had time. Well…it’s been 24 hours now… still no call. 🧐 But, she has time to make post on Facebook to promote this joke of a business and review a Ford dealership as well, according to her Facebook page that isn’t set to private. Upon questioning this transaction at the register yesterday, Lisa’s daughter Kim who was not there at the time of the transaction got very defensive and started telling other customers that we spent too much money and wanted our money back. The daughter was not even in the building at the time of this transaction. I guess she called her mom Lisa because soon people started coming out of the woodwork. Lisa and a man never seen before came rolling up, the man taking photos of us in the parking lot for whatever reason. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect!! I was just a bystander in this entire ordeal. I only spent $4 and I can assure you I don’t need my $4 back. 😂 Although I hate that I spent a Penny of my hard earned honest money in this scam of a business. My friend spent a lot more so it was much easier for them to overcharge and scam her on her items. I watched this happen to her and I have nothing to gain from this except letting others know if you shop here please, watch what they are doing. You will get overcharged if you have more than a couple items. Because, it seems they are all in this scam together to take customers money. The reviews on their page have a lot of the same last names as the people running this scam. Look for yourself if you don’t believe me. You can find them all on Facebook. I live over an hour away and this was my first time to visit this place. I just drove here to shop with my friend while our girls were at dance. It’s sad a fun day of antique shopping turned into this garbage. It really is a shame we would have definitely been back. I did find some good stuff but, the awful customer service and watching my friend get so screwed was just awful. Not to mention Lisa getting in my face calling me a liar and acting all redneck in the parking lot after her daughter called her. It was really crazy! I will take my business to places that have morals, integrity and know how to treat their customers. This is just bad business customers beware!

Oh and on a personal note it was very dirty inside. Kinda like a garage sale type feel or better yet an episode of hoarders. Definitely wear old clothes when shopping and be careful when picking up items. I had a big bug try to crawl on me when I picked up a item. I dropped the item and accidentally squished the bug. Another customer saw this happen and mentioned seeing others crawling around. If you don’t mind bugs and scam artist, have fun.

Dirty place and Dirty...

This place is amazing. I could probably spend all day looking through all the cool stuff they have for sale. But I was doing some last-minute Christmas shopping and I made a phone call to treasure Village and the lady was so nice and helped me track down what I was looking for confirmed it was there and even held it at the counter for me While I made my way to her shop. Once I was there, I was blown away with the amount of antiques vintage pieces memorabilia crystals, incense everything you can imagine is in this thrift store if you find yourself Thrifting in Columbia, do not leave the area without stopping bytreasure village. The expression “One man's junk is another man's treasure” fits this shop to a tee! There’s a variety of vendor booths and yeah, some of those are filled with “junk” and some with “treasure”…either way I enjoy rummaging through it so it’s all good to me.

Prices are very reasonable, staff is polite and helpful!

I really enjoy shopping the Crystal Shop (located within the store) for incense, great...
