It was a little time-consuming, getting my husband from one state to another and it took a long time to get the death certificate. The two funeral homes that we worked with were great. They were available for us and we could ask any questions anytime we needed. It was also unfortunate that there was a full schedule of funerals during the week he passed. Matt from Schoedinger in Ohio worked and worked to find a place for us. He found a mausoleum open for us. We made our own funeral program with a remembrance complete with my husband’s picture and obituary. We had a very comfortable indoor air-conditioned space with seating for 71 and ended up with standing room only. It was an open casket and everyone brought their own flowers. This turned out even better because we had people from several states, including Ohio, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Everyone had a place to park, including those who needed a closer spot for wheelchairs and walkers. At one point it turned Into a celebration of life with lots of his friends saying a few lines and sharing stories about their lives with him and no one wanted to leave. Every year he always got a group of friends together to break bread. He did it again! Matt from Schoedinger made it possible for him to take his last flight home on Delta. There was a Schoedinger employee there that kept things moving. We truly appreciate Schoedinger for going that extra mile for us. Thank...
Read moreThis was my fourth funeral experience with Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger-North and the staff continue to impress me with their respectful approach and unending patience. No matter the circumstances, making arrangements for a loved one’s passing can be emotional and overwhelming depending on the situation. You can find peace of mind knowing the staff will work with you to make sure everything is well planned and facilitated before, during and after the day of services.
Over the years, it’s been nice to have reliable professionals who listen, to help guide my family and I through the process of honoring those we’ve loved. The staff have helped to provide funeral experiences my family and our friends have felt good about, and have been proud of, which is a wonderful way to reflect back and celebrate someone’s life.
It was nice working with Kristina most recently to make arrangements for my grandma and also very touching to see Julia again at the service. It amazed me that after supporting so many families through the funeral process that she was still able to offer fond memories about my father-in-law and his service in 2022. Both helped to make the day feel very warm and familial and we were very pleased with how things turned out. I can rest easy knowing my grandma would have been pleased...
Read morePet cremation services. Our best friend, Socks, died in his sleep Thursday May 31st. We were heartbroken and at a loss of how to take care of him. We called Schoedinger at 7 p.m. and made arrangements to have him picked up and transported for cremation. Everyone was kind and sympathetic to our loss. They treated him with care and dignity, each pet is handled individually, no mass services. When picking up his ashes we were shown to a private area where we were given a paw print and a snippet of hair. Losing a pet is like losing a family member, they understood and treated him accordingly. If you lose a pet Schoedinger is tops. It isn't cheap but we both felt it was worth it.##A few days ago Google sent me a notucen on this review. My husband came in and said he had found a paper in the bedroom dated May 31, this was the last paper Socks brought in. It must have been in the closet all this time. What a coincidence, email from Google about Schoedinger and finding that paper. Guess Socks was visiting from...
