All People's Fresh Market — Attraction in Columbus

Im not surprised so many people have told me they feel unwelcome here! As a neurodivergent individual, I’m in shock with how I was treated to this pantry today. Every time I’ve been there I have been treated with the upmost respect, but today the old, short, bald women volunteer was completely disrespectful! I’ve been here three times, today was the first time I went with my partner. In the past I’ve had nothing but great experiences. I had no issues until I was packing my items to leave. I was told that I should leave and never come back!!! Why? Because I stepped outside to sneeze and blow my nose, and I stepped backward in line to get bread. All I’m saying is the last thing you want when you’re in poverty is for a aggressive volunteer to kick you out and tell you to never come back when I was simply getting food for my family in a time of need!!! I was followed out to the parking lot and felt unsafe with the volunteer tailing me. She got my partner involved and was a completely unwarranted interaction! Maybe they need to do better screening for their volunteers. I don’t know if this was a race issue, class issue… but I hope someone through all people fresh market sees this....

It's so fast and convenient. 940 s. Parsons ave Like no other pantry you can go every single day except for Sunday and Monday. They have very fresh produce. I think it's delivered straight from the truck like they do to the other grocery store. I think the Fresh Markets around the neighborhood also Supply them not sure. It's from I believe 10 to 5 p.m. and they also have zoom groups that you can join. Tai Chi, workouts, yoga, and couch potato workouts. And chair workouts. Cooking classes and probably much more. These people are wonderful and very caring. If you'd like to volunteer they need some help. They are very busy there. I think they feed at least a couple 100 families out of their everyday. Koodles👏I get text EVERY DAY about what on the menu for the day. And reminders about the classes. You can also text and talk to them. It's a wonderful place. They're doing a great thing during times of negativity....

I spoke with the manager today and we discussed the recent changes. I haven't been there in a very long time and it's been updated. That said, I love all the new upgrades! Outside, the hanging planters, raised garden boxes, fabulous murals, painted play spaces, and value added shady spot are the bees knees. On top of that, some beautiful new signage and a fresh pavement with sparkly new paint is all ready to help you drive right to the perfect parking spot for you, or, around the building to the super convenient drive-through. The inside is bright and open, the updated registration process is first-class quick and easy, and as always, the staff are diligent, professional and friendly.
