We were passing through the area and decided to visit this place because it had lots of great reviews and pictures online. We bought our tickets and went in... only to find that EVERYTHING inside was either dead, dying or closed. Allow me to correct myself, there were five heads of lettuce that were still clinging to life, but that's about it. This place looked like a wasteland (word that one of the administrators seemed to took offense with, but I'd let my pictures speak for themselves). It looked more like the location for a Fallout picture session or a Walking Dead episode than a "lush and bountiful garden". You don't have to believe my words... just look at the pictures. Since there was nothing to do or see inside, we turned around and asked for a refund, only to be told "no refunds whatsoever" which for me is unbelievable given the situation. Still, I came back home and tried again with upper management. This time, I received the most condescending reply possible. Just to give you a small sample of the way their reply was worded: It seems that "It is unfortunate that you were not pleased with our offerings" and then went ahead with three full paragraphs self congratulating themselves about how magnificent their garden is at other times; which is meaningless to me as I just witnessed dead plants. Again: Look at the pictures. Would you call that "magnificent"? Long story short: They ended their reply with "we do not issue refunds" They really must need the money. That phrase still circles my thoughts.... "It is unfortunate that you were not pleased with our offerings" I just can't fathom how can they say that with a straight face. Do you think there's somebody out there that wouldn't be upset to be charged $30 to see what I just showed you? They also told me that they just passed a hard freeze and that is the reason for the current state of the garden... um... so... if you know it looks bad then why do you keep charging for it? If I had a zoo and all my animals died I wouldn't be charging an admission fee as I have nothing to show. For all the people that will say "oh, but this place is beautiful in (any other date)" I believe you, but I am not arguing that. I'm just telling you that as of today, the place is HORRIBLE and it is a travesty that not only they charge for an entry fee when there's nothing to see, but being so shameless as to refuse a refund request when they know its current state. I'll finish this review with the same line I used on my final reply to them: Hope everything grows back again so you won't charge people for nothing like you did with me

Update recently went since they're charging 5 for kids 10 for adults. Here's how I feel about that..I frequented this place from the beginning. I've done and been in professional photo shoots, taken the grandkids and family. Everything with exception of some new flowers, the snake sign,I've already seen. So my question is why charge 10 dollars? In my opinion it should be $5 for adults $3 for kids until something new, exciting,is added. Make it artsy...plant sculptures, the plants could be designed to make an image . There's a barn you could at least add a sculpture or two of animals or something. To charge and I know it costs to keep this place up but at least in Atlanta it's worth what they charge. If a person goes once and sees everything they've seen everything...10 in my opinion is to much for the same thing you've basically had for years. If you're doing weddings, events,or want to do a photo shoot or if you love nature then it's a great place to go. On occasion I'd pay 10 bucks but I wouldn't go as much as I use to to see the same thing. D.B 7/22/2023 A beautiful day in Columbus to visit the botanical garden although someone was a little unprofessional as to how they notified people they'd like for them to walk the long route away from the beautiful flowers so I guess it was a class or church filming the nutcracker I'm not sure who or what group maybe it was just a family , we were polite and nice about it and didn't let it mess up our day The thing is usually a park or someone makes the public aware in advance a lot of elderly ppl were disappointed and left and ppl for sometime could not go through the flowers or other sites until this group left..... which was fine but : 1. Make people aware ahead of time. 2. just set up a time like they do the ranch where I think ppl rent slots and have the gate closed. 3. Have someone asking nicer for ppl to do this instead of" we are filming the nutcracker you'll have to walk the long way over there ." .. usually things like this are done a lot more professionally . Anyway this is a beautiful garden where you can find so much beauty...get married..take pictures...most photographers find nice areas to shoot here and you can find them there early when it's not so crowded...there are very nice walking trails it's scenic...and it seems they are continuing to add to this beautiful garden... Usually things are well organized as far as when people are actually having something there there's a stall...mini barn area where you can rent the area ...it's just beautiful there...great place to take the family...

Wow! What a venue!! I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Columbus Botanical Garden for my mother's 70th Surprise Birthday Party! Karissa Dolan attended to every detail and the planning process was seamless. Her kindness, flexibility and thoughtfulness were hallmarks of what you can experience working with them. I wish everyone could experience this level of partnership for their special occasions! I ordered centerpieces for the tables and they were GORGEOUS! When I arrived I was surprised to see they even created other arrangements throughout the space to make the Farmhouse look absolutely stunning. The linens were the perfect color. We showed a video and the sound/video was executed flawlessly!! The sound connection/bluetooth for playing a playlist was perfect. My guests enjoyed everything about the location and I HIGHLY recommend them for the myriad of events you could do here!! PS: Kimble Foods (Amy, Josea, Ty and Alisa) were incredible partners and provided a delicious meal with plated service... #emptyplateclub MyStudio Photography (Cedric) managed our photo shoot in the morning in the gardens. Champagne Photo Booth (London Mahogany) provided the photo booth experience during the party. It was so enjoyable to watch this group make Boomerang videos!!
