This is normally one of our favorite restaurants. We come here about once every 3 to 5 months. Enjoy an amazing burger with some endless fries and great milkshakes. This last time was awful. It will be a while before we return. The service was terrible. Our waitress, I don't remember her name, (fitting since she was almost never around) came to the table to take the order. She brought our drinks, then disappeared. We had to flag her down for to-go boxes and an issue with the check. She asked for us to sign up for the Red Robin rewards and offered a free appetizer if we did it. So we signed up. We didn't get a free appetizer. As for the food and drinks. The milkshake was SMALL. Normally they're huge and they come with an extra metal tin nearly full. The glasses are smaller and the tin was nearly empty. We placed our order the appetizers came out fairly quick. We finished those. The table was never cleared. Our waitress never returned. We just stacked the plates on the divider between tables. (Someone else brought the appetizers, not our waitress.) We did catch glimpses of the waitress in the back. Eating, drinking, and laughing. It was over an hour before our food came out. Not a big deal normally, but with zero refills on our drinks and we were still missing an appetizer, we were wondering what was going on. Our main meals were cold. The fries were room temperature. My burger was warm, but I ordered the royal and the egg was runny. That's fine. (The waitress didn't ask how I wanted it.) I expected the yolk to be runny, my problem was the white being runny. It wasn't just a little soft. It was like the egg was barely cooked. We couldn't make any complaints about the food, since the waitress never came to check on us. We never got a refill of fries. (We were never offered.) We didn't get asked how we wanted our burgers cooked, pink or well-done. It was just an awful, awful experience.
I would normally recommend this place to anyone looking for a great burger, but this last experience has tainted our view for sure. We didn't see a manager either. (Normally one wanders around and asks how the meal is and offers all...
Read moreI ordered online Monday night 9/6/21. Haven’t eaten Red Robin in a while, but it’s usually our go to for gourmet burgers. Bring the food home and start to eat - I had ordered a Guacamole Bacon Burger - there was no bacon. Normally I don’t like to complain, I understand people make mistakes and that’s ok. But I decided to call and let someone know, since it’s a pretty pricey burger to forget the main thing you’re paying for. I explained the situation nicely to the girl who answered the phone, she immediately sounded irritated and transferred me over to the manager (apparently). The manager/supervisor, Parker, not only sounded too high to even handle a phone conversation, but after I told him my situation, he said “I’m sorry” and then didn’t say anything else. I had to ask him if there was some way I could get compensated for the mistake, so he said I could come in and get a free burger. He was about to end the conversation there without taking my info and I had to ask him if he wanted my information so someone would know who I was, when I came in. (I highly doubt if some random person comes in asking for a free burger, they would would just give it to me). After he finished laughing over the phone with his buddies in the background (maybe about me, who knows) he got my info and said they would honor my replacement burger, which is great. But the whole way they handled the situation was some of the worst customer service I’ve had and I’m pretty easy going, I get the food industry sucks sometimes. That on top of some soggy fries and sub par burgers - let’s just say I won’t be eating here again. It’s a chain so I know my one bad review and lost business isn’t going to hurt them, but it used to be one of my favorite places to go and it just sucks now. I wish they cared more about their quality of service and food, Columbus...
Read moreFood is always good and hits the mark every time. Lavern on the other hand is an annoyance to deal with. We’ve gotten Lavern several times and each time she’s been absolutely rude to me NOT to my white husband though. She is always sarcastic and that obnoxious passive aggressiveness gets old. The first two times we figured she just had a bad day and gave her the benefit of the doubt. The third time we got her but for some reason she ended switching to another table and we were assigned a new waiter who was marvelous. The last time we went (a Monday around 2pm) it was dead and there were two other couples there and we got her again and she kept forgetting my order. I ordered a limited time peach alcoholic beverage and when she came back with it it had zero alcohol. She said she “didn’t know” that’s what I had ordered, even though we repeated our order to her TWICE. She came back with half a shot for me to add to my drink and charged me the cost of the peach alcoholic beverage AND the half shot of alcohol. When ordering the burgers she got my order wrong but not my husbands. After he finished eating she brought him another of basket of the unlimited fries. I had finished my fries and asked for another basket of fries and she said “sure!” She serves two other people and brings them each a basket of fries AFTER THEY’VE PAID. She tells them “just in case!” 20 minutes go by and my husband and I see my basket of fries sitting on the kitchen to waiter counter. She’s hanging around talking to other waiters. My husband goes up to her and tells her I need my fries. She says okay and brings them to me. Cannot...
