Completely unacceptable service.
My wifeās iPhone was experiencing trouble charging and went in for an assessment on whether it was the phone or the charging port that was malfunctioning. Nothing else was wrong with the phone. During the assessment the phone was opened and we were told that it looked like the water sensor inside had been triggered and the malfunction was due to water damage. Her phone had never been submerged but we understood that apparently moisture had gotten inside. The phone was reassembled and handed back to her and we went to a Verizon store. When we got to the store we realized that her screen was no longer working and unresponsive.
We immediately went back to iFixandRepair and were given the BS story that her screen not working wasnāt due to something happening during the assessment, but from the apparent water damage. I argued that the associates explanation was absolutely ridiculous as the screen was working fine right until they took it apart. The associate said that water damage can take affect at anytime, even when a phone is dry, and that the screen no longer working was coincidental to them working on it, but not at all their fault.
Again, I was told that a completely functional screen, on a completely dry phone, coincidentally succumbed to water damage at the same time her phone was opened and then reassembled at no fault of the technician.
I called the customer service line and filed a complaint and was told that I would be called back after they spoke to the district manager. I never got a call back. We ultimately had to file an insurance claim to get the phone replaced.
I understand that accidents happen, but the associate denying any possibility of responsibility and blaming it on water damage was completely unacceptable. Iām tracking how corrosion works, there wasnāt any. The phone was damaged further when it was worked on and they tried to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDonāt take anything here. Pay the extra money at Graphicon and be done with it. Weāve had an iPad here for MONTHS. Not only have we made zero progress with having it repaired, but each time we are told itās ready to be picked up we arrive to find larger more costly issues. All I took it in for originally was a lose screen and the battery not charging properly. The first time I came to pick it up I was told it was fixed, but yet the battery life was still not improving while in the store. I was then charged over $100 to order and replace a new internal battery. That took a few weeks. Then we were told it was ready to be picked up, which we did. We get it home and immediately notice the screen is coming unglued (again). We bring it back, a few weeks later we call and are told itās been fixed and we can pick it up. We get there and while in the store it starts going haywire with ghost typing, etc. At that point we are told theyāll need to keep it again, reopen, and work on it. Today (3 weeks later) my husband calls about it and they say it now needs a connector and will cost us $150 more. I am livid. This is an iPad that is less than a year old. This was not an issue until they worked on it. Outside of the battery life (and lose screen), it was fine. Tonight I was actually given the rationale of āweāve opened it so many times that itās likely that the connector wore down and was loosened.ā How is this my fault??? It was one repair job that was never gotten right that turned into 5 repair jobs.
Not to mention we always have to call and check on the status. We have never received status calls...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTLDR; TERRIBLE cheap parts, poor management, awful quality of work.
Absolute worst experience with a repair shop ever. The phone would randomly ghost after the first 3 days of having it and after bringing it back, because it wouldn't do it front of them for 3 minutes they wouldn't repair the BOTCHED job they did. Had to go to their Walmart location to get the back glass replaced, which after 2-3 weeks it cracked after just barely sitting in my pocket WITH a case on and not having have dropped once (the day it happened also was the worst day with the ghosting so all in all their parts didn't even last 1-2 months)
To top it all off, when I went to get the back replaced, they "forgot" to place the order for the part so I had to wait another week to get it fixed and it was CLEARLY cheap aftermarket 3rd party, the logo wasn't properly centered and it had a like "transparent" layer to it, which the original phone is NOT supposed to have.
All around cheap parts, poor management, and terrible quality. Their Walmart team refused to even look at it again when I called in.
Do NOT go here for any parts
AND FYI True Tone will not work as well as some other USEFUL iPhone features if you get a cheap phone screen (Easiest repair to do) from a place like this. There are some good aftermarket places that aren't apple authorized, and I'm a huge right to repair advocate, but this company absolutely is atrocious and I would NEVER recommend or advise anyone to get work here.
