Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium — Attraction in Columbus

In my nearly 35 years? of attending the state track meet I can honestly say this meet will go down in history as the most memorable in regards to personal performance/achievement from super star Abbie Steiner! What amazing performance witnessed today! I was there and still am in disbelief of what I saw..her 11.38 in the 100 was already a crazy time but that 22.73 had mostly everyone in attendance shocked and dumbfounded! That time was absurd and surreal...a time you'll see a division I college track star running..the only other performance that rivaled that was years ago by the brilliant sprinter Chris Nelloms formally of Dayton Dunbar who also won 11 state titles...what a...

Let me start by saying the Ohio State Athletic facilities are some of the best in the country and Jesse Owens is no exception. The only reason I give 4 stars is that for soccer games, you're at least 100 ft away from the field because of the track and the first few sections of the stadium can't see over the bench hoods. You can sit on the field for Crew games and the front rows are within 20 ft of the action. Still a great pitch with plenty of seating, just wish it was closer...
