the lady doing my manicure was super passive aggressive and rude, did not get her name. i decided on clear, pink polish and i noticed after she had painted them that a small black hair had gotten stuck under the polish (i’m blonde) and since i got clear gel you could fully see the hair. i asked her to remove it and she pretended she couldn’t see it until i finally asked enough times that she attempted to remove it. i told her she may need to take the polish off and restart and all she did was file the top of my nail super hard (and passive aggressively) until about half the hair came off, she didn’t even get all of it. she then proceeded to paint my nails (i can still see some of the hair after my manicure is over) and the nail looks terrible because you can see the marks from how hard she was filing it under my clear polish. i didn’t feel like fighting her and just wanted to pay and leave. i gave her my card to pay and she said tips were only allowed in cash. i told her i had none (thought i’d be able to tip on card) and she told me i could just venmo her. even though it was a super unpleasant time i didn’t want to not tip anything so i just gave her $5. she was holding my card, not returning it to me even though she had ran it, until i sent her a tip through venmo. i showed her where i venmod her and she was still holding my card saying it hadn’t come through on her phone even though i was literally showing her where i sent a tip. i demanded my card back and left.
i will never come back here and i hope she reads this!

Read moreThis is the ultimate in the nail spa experience. U can walk in, call and then walk in or make an appointment. Nails on Neil offers a wide variety of manicure and pedicure options. The salon itself is a wonderful experience. As u walk in, a client is greeted with a display of the laughing Buddha who brings blessings of good fortune to an establishment. Nails on Neil is owned by Kenny and is managed by his sister Mai. All the nail techs are properly licensed and the furnishings are very comfortable and art nouveau . The pedicure and manicure stations are state of the art and it is obvious that the standard of hygiene is meticulous. Kenny was my nail tech and he was obviously extremely skilled. I have extremely sensitive nail beds and in the past I've ' endured' the process of getting manicures. I barely felt the Dremel and almost fell asleep during this appointment. I chose to gel nails and Kenny chose the shape of my nails and guided me on the choice of color. My nails look fantastic and the brief hand massage at the end has me vowing to return to Nails on Neil for my next appointment! I give this nail spa 5 stars for courtesy, hygiene, atmosphere and most of all...
Read moreI asked for a regular manicure because I am giving my natural nails a break from gel/dip because they are incredibly thin. I was questioned and upsold many times on doing gel but that isn’t what I wanted. I chose a long wear nail polish - OPI Infinite shine - typically last 3-5 days with no chips sometimes longer. I asked for the corresponding top coat and that was not used. Well, I should’ve known better. My nails not even a full 24 hours after said mani are more than half way off. I’ve never had a regular manicure chip and come off so easily. It would’ve lasted longer and looked better if I just did it myself. I am upset because I was traveling in Columbus for work and wanted a manicure to look nice at thanksgiving before flying home and now I’m left without time or options with horrendous nails. Whether you’re a local or someone visiting I would not visit this salon. They also do not follow sanitary guidelines and did not clean the tools in between...
