If you’re looking to ignite your taste buds and warm your soul, this fiery gem of a Chinese restaurant is an absolute must. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the kind of warmth that goes beyond the heat level of their chili oil—and much of that credit goes to our incredible server, Annie Emmy
Annie Emmy was a burst of sunshine -attentive, jovial, and delightfully witty. She made us feel like old friends returning for a favorite meal. Her playful banter kept us laughing, especially when she applauded my husband for bravely conquering the traditional Sichuan spice level, which, trust me, is not for the faint of heart when made in traditional Sichuan spicy levels (which is extra spicy here in the US).
The dishes were bold, fragrant, and bursting with that unmistakable ma la (麻辣)kick. We ordered Cold Noodle w Shredded Chicken (鸡丝凉面), Deep Fried Chicken with Chili (辣子鸡丁), Stir Fried Water Spinach (清炒空心菜), Boiled Fish Filets in Hot Chili Oil (新派水煮鱼). We feasted until full, yet still had plenty to take home and relish the next day because good spice deserves an encore! 🌶️
Thank you, Annie Emmy for making our Memorial Day lunch feel so special. Your hospitality added the perfect touch of sass to an already flavorful lunch. We’ll be back- with extra napkins and brave...
Read moreTruck driver review If you drive a truck you can go the long way around to the Sunoco behind the building. Owner let me park to pick up food.
I only eat Szechuan Chinese and have tried many across the country.
To go order Pork Fried rice excellent and I mean it. Fried rice usually sucks this didn’t Chicken with green peppercorn. Really good sorta Szechuan they had jalapeño with Szechuan peppers. You can leave that out next time. But I’ll just try something else. Scallion pancakes limp no crunch. Egg rolls good. Wish they gave me mustard instead of the red sauce. String beans excellent Soup dumplings small ok wanted to try won’t be getting that again. Price excellent Is it a Szechuan dream? No it’s high quality Chinese. It lacks the spice and numbness you get from real Szechuan That said if I crave Chinese and I’m in the area I’ll stop here The restaurant website is cheaper than uber eats by like 10$ same cart...
Read moreI've been here twice for lunch, and the food was consistently delicious both times. The flavors are very authentic but not as spicy as you'd get in actual Sichuan, which I totally understand since they have to cater to a wider audience (ie I asked for the spiciest level, but it tasted more like medium). The servers are really nice and the interior is super clean. You can also ask to reduce the level of spice if you can't really tolerate spicy foods.
Every dish we had was really good. The different dishes are meant to be shared, so don't be surprised by the portion sizes. We over-ordered intentionally both times so we could taste more and also have leftovers. You definitely get your money's worth here.
If you're a fan of Sichuan food, you'll love this place. If I lived closer, I'd be here at least...
