I lost count how many times I visited Tous.
Ever since the first week they opened, I stepped in to utter chaos of surprisingly sweet delicious bakery goods! Who would had thought the combo of French-Asian inspired baked goods in finest bread crafted to fit the needs of picky taste buds like mine? And so it does delightfully.
Quick breakdown,
Coffee: flavorful coffee and espresso made with the finest ingredients, as others said, have met my expectations and then some! I am picky with my coffee flavors and other baristas have dulled my tastes to fine coffee, in comes Tours! : that large iced caramel macchiato w/extra sweet that I ordered tons of times have been consistently great each time.
Bakery goods: don’t expect good, expect great! This isn’t your normal bakery with the typical good, this is fine cuisine in simple fast form. every bite has flavor and the mixed of warm to cool baked goods has options for many picky eaters. : twisted donuts and ham/cheese croissant is my recommendation.
Experience: I said I’ll buy only 1 thing but to come out with a full bag each time, tells you, you need to get it all! It’s delicious and the service is good, staff is friendly and the cafe experience sitting down isn’t overwhelming. It got bright interior and pastel-ish color decor with tall open windows bring in natural lighting for a book read or two, and hearing customers chatter near by doesn’t distract too much from your intentions of enjoyment in a cafe environment style.
Summary: Worth the experience for a visit and many more after, your taste buds will be...
Read moreTous Les Jours is a great cafe with amazing different options of pastries and drinks! Yet, when looking at the accessibility of the location ,it somewhat lacks essential and vital necessities that disabled people would need to gain access and feel comfortable in this cafe. First off, the main entrance does not have automatic doors which is clearly a disadvantage and causes the store to be inaccessible. There also is not a ramp on the sidewalk that is super close to the store but rather it's a couple of stores down which can cause some inconvenience. When entering the cafe the cafe's seating area is very tight, a wheelchair or any medical equipment would not be able to fit through the area. Also, fair warning Tous Les Jours is usually very busy and this can cause some difficulty with finding a seat which results in the area being very full and busy. Tous Les Jours also includes a serve-yourself section in which you grab tongs and a tray. The cafe has glass cases where you can grab everything and serve yourself. Desert is displayed on the top and bottom shelves and this could cause difficulty in accessing the top shelf if you have a disability. The employees are super kind and would love to assist the guest if needed. Overall, the cafe does have multiple obstacles that would interfere with different individuals with disabilities, and although I personally enjoy visiting this cafe, I understand how it may be frustrating for those who can’t fully enjoy the experience due to these...
Read moreI was excited to try this place. I didn’t check to see what time they opened because I assumed it would be early since it’s a pastry shop. I got there at 8 and discovered they didn’t open until 9 which seemed odd to me, but my bad for not checking. I ran some other errands and came back at 915. When I got there, there were only a handful of pastries out on display. The set up is unique in that you get a tray and tongs and pick your own pastry out of the cases. But most of the pastries were not in the case yet. I stood around for a while, and was not acknowledged by any of the staff. What I was really wanting to try was the taro bread. After about 15 min of me standing there a man asked if I needed help. I asked if the taro bread was going to come out and he replied that they bake pastries first and the breads later, and that it would be an hour or more before the bread would be ready. I guess my thought is that at 9, when the store opens, all the items should be ready for purchase. I didn’t have more time to wait, so I bought a different pastry (blueberry cream cheese type thing) that tasted ok. I don’t see a pastry shop that opens so late (after most people are already at work) and whose selection is hit or miss to last very long when there are other...
