I have been a friend of The Magical Druid since its first day of business; I periodically visit there when I am in the area.
I am not Druid at least as far as I know] but some of my friends are Druid.
My friendship with Druids had begun when Humanist Community of Central Ohio [HCCO] would have a booth at ComFest several booths away from the Three Cranes Grove booth; I would occasionally visit the Three Cranes Grove booth during ComFest while I had been staffing the HCCO booth; I have attended at least one of the Three Cranes Grove rituals that are periodically held at ComFest.
I realize that Three Cranes Grove and The Magical Druid are not the same but some of the same people are involved with both.
I have attended the below special events at The Magical Druid.
• The Magical Druid Grand Opening [at its former location, 14 W. Pacemont Rd.
• The Magical Druid Grand Re-Opening at its current location, 3165 N. High St.
• Columbus Psychic and Spiritual Development Meetup hosted by -- and held in the basement of -- The Magical Druid
• Winter Solstice Ritual [12-21-2018]
I had envisioned that the 12-21-2018 Winter Solstice Ritual would be a quiet and peaceful event when in fact the store had been so crowded that I could barely move around.
I did successfully make it to the back wall and back one single time; I then decided to leave after approximately ten minutes so that I would be able to take a photograph for Google Maps [that picture is still the "featured" photograph when one does a Google Search for "The Magical Druid"] and then travel to a different part of town in order to attend a different Winter Solstice event in a...
Read moreThis place was awesome. Anytime I'm in CBus I will absolutely go back. Very welcoming feel to the place. Kind of like an old school drug store mashed up with a trendy gamer shop, and maybe a bit grocery store (not supermarket) all at the same time. Their book selection was on point. They have things I have not seen other places, and I likely spent most of my time in the place back along the bookshelves. The staff were all over the place. They got up and walked people through the store, pointing out things that could help, all the while discussing it with their customers to reach a better more personal solution. They didn't just sit behind the counter like at most metaphysical shops. The air was exciting and vibrant, but yet felt calm all at the same time. Wide variety of practices could find material here. Prices were good, but even if they were a bit higher, the level of service would justify it. They've got a solid shop here. It's likely my favorite of the 3-4 dozen we've visited in Ohio, Michigan,...
Read moreThese are the sweetest people working here. You can tell they just want to help people and for me that was helping me find a light in a dark time. I didn’t really know what I was doing there, my dad is sick and slowly passing away in the hospital and I jest felt like I needed something there. They asked if they could help and that’s when I just broke down. They gave me a cleansing and the most incredible guided meditation and even pulled just a single tarot card for me for free. The heaviness that left me after that I could never thank them enough. Absolutely wonderful selection of tarot decks and books too! Don’t forget to say hello tho their cats, they do an important job behind the scenes clearing...
