Mediterranean Foods Imports — Local services in Columbus

This is my favourite place in Columbus. I am Indian, and I buy all my spices, lentils, beans, ghee and naan from here. In addition, they have the freshest feta cheese you can find anywhere in Columbus (five kinds too! ) and the kalamata olives are to die for. They carry a curated selection of olive, avocado, coconut, and grapeseed oil at much lower prices than the big supermarkets, and it is thanks to the excellent quality of tahini here that I now regularly make my own hummus. And then there are so many other indulgences- rose and saffron water, a variety of vintage sweets, and coffee from many nationalities, you name it. Wonderful place to find authentic Mediterranean imported foods. There are shelf stable items and fresh, items as well. Only place I can find the pita bread like I grew up eating. The local grocery stores carry a thicker,more spongy type of pita. Or they carry the thick flat bread sold under the name of pita. These are good, but different than the thinner, less sweet pita , that seems more old world style. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. Love going ,but not crazy about the traffic in the area. Just make sure to go during less busy traffic times. Well...

Kind owner. Always clean and good selection. Ive been going here for 8 years. I was in another neighborhood the other day and ran out of some stuff so I tried Al Mustafa on Sawmill and it was filthy, rude employees, expired food. I thought to myself, the owner of Mediterranean Food Imports needs to teach the owner of the location on Sawmill how to properly run a business! So grateful this store...
