My six-year-old son and I arrived at Urban Air in Columbus, GA, around 2:30 PM on March 30th. My son was filled with excitement and ready to have fun, but that excitement quickly faded. As shown in the screenshot I uploaded, my son just wanted to play in the ball pit. He was off to the side, not bothering anyone and lost in his own little world. However, two station workers told him to get out because he could not just sit in the ball pit for safety reasons. I understand that there’s an obstacle course above the ball pit, but what child wouldn’t want to play in a 4-inch deep ball pit? I asked if I could go through the course with him, and the station worker said that was okay. We went through the course twice, and at the end of the second time, I was approached by the manager, Missy Thomas. She told me, "Hey Mom, I just wanted to let you know that we have Sensory Sundays from 10 AM to 12 PM because I see your child is 'different.'" Since this took place on a Sunday, I’m sure my son wasn’t the only child who might be considered a sensory seeker, but I was the only parent approached. From that moment on, things went downhill. I asked what the problem was; if I was allowed to go through the course with him, why was a manager being called over for a 6-year-old who just wanted to play in the ball pit? My son is nonverbal, which is part of his diagnosis. Being told, "I see your child is different," took me by surprise because I make a point to ensure my son is treated equally, just like any other child. We are all different in our own ways, and that should be recognized. Although Sensory Sundays may be a great option for some, my child simply wanted to be a kid! After that encounter, I stayed close to him at every station, so there was no need for anyone to push him along. The young workers at this location should receive training on how to interact appropriately with other people's children. In the second screenshot, you can see how he was pushed along while I was right there. I asked the station worker at that station, "What was the issue?" because he was just trying to get to the slide. The worker said, "I know they told us about him." At that point, I felt targeted. This was my son’s first time at Urban Air, and I couldn’t understand why he was being discussed among the staff. He wanted to go down the slide and had accidentally taken the wrong staircase but still ended up at the top of the slide. Instead of pushing him out, why not guide him to show the correct way to go? I requested to speak to the general manager because I felt my son was being singled out while no other parent was approached about their child. I explained my concerns and frustrations to General Manager Shantana Walker. I made it clear that I shouldn’t have to point out that other kids were flipping in an area where it clearly said, “No Flipping,” while my son couldn’t even sit in a ball pit! I was told this was not their intention. They had a manager who has two children on the spectrum and that’s why they created Sensory Sundays. I asked if, during Sensory Sundays, my son could play in the ball pit. I was told no, but that he wouldn’t be rushed out of the pit like they do during nonsensory hours. Why rush a child along? What if a child couldn’t walk but wanted to try the obstacle course? Again, every child is different, and I pointed out that there was a child in a wheelchair entering with their family when we arrived. I told Mrs. Walker that loud music and flashing lights do not bother my child; he simply wanted to play like any other child who sees a ball pit! I was given two passes to return during sensory time on a different day, but I won’t be returning. I gave the passes away because my son left in tears. Why would I come back? I understand that Michael Browning Jr., his father, and the staff take pride in creating a joyful and inspiring experience but unfortunately, this was our experience. My hope is that something positive comes from this, as I know I’m not the only parent advocating for equality for our children. Please do better!

Came here to allow my children to do something fun before our long car ride home from Columbus, GA to Chicago, IL. My kids waiting 15 minutes for some to assist them with the sky rider attraction. After waiting the staff assisted the children that just walked up and allowed them to get on the attraction. I feel like if you have lines for attraction to use them. He wanted to leave one of my children down to wait, and she was the one who asked for assistance. My children was upset, because if they was talking in order my children would not have had an issue about not wanting to be separated. I’m reading some of the complaints and I see this establishment doesn’t respond to complaints. Very sad. I spent $147.08 for 3 platinum wristbands and 4 socks. My children wasn’t able to enjoy themselves. I hope this wasn’t a race issue, because I did notice that he made my kids wait with others our race after i told him my children was here first and waited a while. This probably will be the last time supporting this company in any state.

My children loved it! For the price, I was expecting a little more but it was ok. The wings and pizza are really good. I find it odd that they did not refill drinks and required the purchase of another drink but its fine because we should have been drinking water anyway lol. HOWEVER, the staff is the biggest problem with the facility! They are rude, dismissal, inconsiderate, untrained, uncaring, nor uphold any rules or regulations. They can visibly be seen rolling their eyes, leaving stations, and sucking their teeth when asked a question. And this is not just the teenagers! They don't even speak or acknowledge when spoken to. A serious revamping of training needs to take place. BTW, will someone please explain the purpose of paying for a platinum membership if everyone gets to do everything?

I’m not the type to leave reviews, but today is the day! This was my FIRST time going to this location and only went because my kids asked to go. After today I’m regretting ever stepping foot in there. Yes, it is very kid friendly, and the attractions were ok. However, I purchased my tickets online signed waiver etc. When checking in, the employee asked if we had socks, I told her yes, she never once asked if they were “Urban Air” socks right. I’ve been to several other jump parks where as long as the socks are “slip resistant” then it is ok. So, we’ve now been there for maybe 2.5 hours if that, when one of the employee comes up to me and ask if I had Urban Air socks, mind you as well there were SEVERAL others (which my child also stated for himself to me) that also didn’t have on Urban Air socks. So I proceed to tell him no I don’t and he asked if I could get some and I asked why didn’t the employee in the front tell me that when we checked in he said he didn’t know why, ok that’s fine. As I proceeded towards the front, I stopped and waited for my kids to finish at the attraction they were at. As I’m literally standing there, leaning against the rail, not in line or anything for an attraction just waiting on my kids, the “manager” who I later find out name is SETH walks up behind me and yells very loudly “HEY YOU NEED TO GO AND GET SOME URBAN AIR SOCKS.” First off that’s NOT how you approach anyone and definitely not as a manager! It was rude and disgusting and I let him know that. Then he proceeds to say that he’s going to call the police because he don’t like that I’m giving him the same energy he gave me when he walked up and yelled at me instead of approaching me professionally as a MANAGER should. Then he proceeds to tell me to get out because we are now going back and forth and he’s disrespected me in front of my kids and others. He also proceeds to walk behind me as I’m walking to get my things and then stops and yells across from the other side telling me to get out, drawing unwanted attention that I guess he wanted! Again this was my first time here and my first EVER experiencing anything like this, it definitely came off racially profiling because again there were others but I can’t speak to anyone else’s situation. However, it was still very much unprofessional. My kids were scared and said they never want to go back to this place again! Along with this review I will be reaching out to Corporate as well, because I know if he talked to me that way, then he’s done this before or does it often. The employee who gave me the information for Corporate even knew who I was talking about when I asked what was his name because I couldn’t locate him again to ask him myself. I spent a good 100 dollars there for my kids to enjoy all the attractions and to eat, just to be treated in such a disgusting way, ABOUT SOCKS! That’s insane, SETH NEEDS TO BE DEMOTED! He definitely NOT a good fit to be in a manager position. He needs to be trained on how to SPEAK correctly to customers when it comes to situations as such. I’m so upset because my kids didn’t get to enjoy the full experience and all over a part of d**m...

There are so many underhanded undisclosed rules and expectations of this place, I cannot believe it. From the moment I was walked to my table, there were problems. Their packages are MISLEADING to say the LEAST. First issue was My son’s birthday cake, which was an ice cream cake. One of the workers said they called me to tell me ice cream cakes aren’t allowed, I NEVER got a call, and I told her this. She pulls up my reservation and says, “you’re right, I didn’t call b/c you booked it Thursday (we came Saturday), so the manager steps in and says she’ll allow it this time, but they usually don’t allow ice cream cakes. NOWHERE ON THE WEBSITE WHEN YOU ARE BOOKING DOES IT SAY YOU CANNOT BRING AN ICE CREAM CAKE! My second issue was the misleading information on the packages. I purchased the basic trampoline package b/c my son said all he wanted to do was jump. Yet when him and his friends tried to jump on the trampoline with the basketballs, they said it’s part of the deluxe package. NOWHERE ANYWHERE DOES IT SAY BASKETBALL TRAMPOLINES ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER TRAMPOLINES. The manager tells me that it says that in the package. NO THE HELL IT DOESN'T. I do NOT work FOR or AT Urban Air, so how the hell am I supposed to know that basic trampoline doesn’t mean trampolines?… Does that make sense to ANYONE, NOOO. That’s misleading and DEFINITELY should have been displayed or disclosed somewhere. THENNNN, AFTER THE GENERAL MANAGER, Sha-something WALKER, told me it was ok for my sons cake, when we got ready to cut it, she told me that we couldn’t cut the cake, that I couldn’t give the ice cream cake to the people at my table, and that she thought I was saying that my son was going to have Ice Cream Cake while the rest of his party eat regular cake. That MAKES ZERO SENSE! At that point, I was over it. I told my son and his friends to pack it up! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER FOR MY SONS 13th Birthday. I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE TO BOOK A PARTY WITH THIS COMPANY. The ONLY good part was my Host. I don’t remember his name but He was a young black man with dreads, I think they had blond ends. He was the best and only good part of this experience. WORSE $300 I EVER SPENT! DONT BOOK HERE. They are FULL OF...
