Courtesy is not something to expect from this place of business, and that’s said based on many visits not solely on one experience. I don’t expect optimal customer service from a teenage staff, however, these employees are blatantly disrespectful and continue to do so because MANAGEMENT ALLOWS it. I enjoy taking my son to skate and play arcade games every other Sunday. We went this past Sunday. EVERY time I have visited Hollywood Connection in Columbus Ga, the employees are the absolute WORST. They conduct very unprofessional behavior. The area I’m most unsatisfied with is the Diner. Those employees are worse than middle school children ! They will continue talking until they finish their non work related conversations right in front of my face before asking me, “what do you want” I saw 5 employees behind the counter Sunday and each and every one of them were just shockingly the most unpleasant people to have working and representing a family friendly business. The diner staff blows me away each and every time I go because I always think they can’t get any worse, any ruder, any slower, any more unprofessional, yet they behave so confidently while blatantly ignoring me. The food has always been disgusting. the chicken is worse than gas station food, the pizza is equally disappointing. After I wait an hour for the pizza, the employees just sit it on the counter and don’t bother to call out that the order is ready. Their conversations are LOUD and inappropriate for my 8year old to be over hearing. They are mostly teenagers, and act like they have never seen a manager, never been trained, and have absolutely no respect for conducting business. The food and drinks are outrageously over priced and as a customer, that makes me even more furious with the customer service.l dread having to communicate with them because they speak with such nasty attitudes and they are visibly bothered by being interrupted from playing behind the counter to take an order. The rental skate attendant is always hiding in the corner on his phone and looks bothered when I ask him to open my locker for me. The DJ for the skating rink must be a 60 yr old man because the music selection is the opposite of high energy. Yesterday will be my last...
Read moreWent to a birthday party on 4/9/2021. This by far is the worst experience. I wasn't even going to leave a review until I read so many other families experienced this during birthday moments. Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on a place to voice concerns to make the experience better or ask for help and be kicked out because management can't handle doing their job properly. The family was told that we should have booked at a different venue if he were going to have additional children attend. I can also see that there is no responses for AMC or Hollywood connection in regards to those negative reviews. As a native to Phenix City and the Columbus area, who went to Hollywood connection as a child for lock ins, birthday party, and just to have a good ole time with friends and family, I would not recommend this place. I dont care if they gave out free tickets for a year I would not attend. The party and the parents of the party were more than cordial and understanding. They received so much negative feedback from staff including the manager. Eventually the parents of the party were asked to leave by police officers because management and staff couldn't handle being professional. We asked if we could speak to the managers supervisor where the parents of the party was told to look on the amc website. The managers attitude signifies to me that she knows she can get away with her behavior and I promise I won't stop until there is a fair resolution for this family. So if that's gathering evidence from other people that have had parties there to send to the BBB I will. If its means I have to sit on hold with AMC until I get someone on the line that can resolve this issue I will. If it means sending an email everyday to cooperate I will. Im not looking for we apologize for this inconvenience or some free days of skating. There needs to be change in management and the procedures to be changed when there are birthday party. I dont care about covid 19. If you open your establishment during a pandemic there is still a need for professionalism and fairness. Noone was unruly, rude, aggressive, etc to anyone of the...
Read moreThis is not the place for a beginner/new skater but a place to be made fun of, humiliated and laughed at by the staff (I’m talking outburst from the gut laughter on the microphone by the DJ Jabari -I believe was his name but not completely sure- that led to the entire staff and guest chiming in to laugh at me when I fell trying to have fun and skate). What started out as a fun evening for my sister and I ended in humiliation . We are both inexperienced skater’s however we came to skate around and enjoy ourselves and the vibes. We both fell a few times but I became the laughing stock of the evening when I finally took a drastic fall on my bottom which was painful. That was when the DJ Jabari and staff laughed hysterically and the guests joined in to laugh along with them. At that point I was no longer having a good time I felt completely embarrassed unwelcome and again HUMILIATED. It was worse than going to the gym feeling like the fat person, and everyone laughing at you for even showing up and trying to be healthy. I felt discriminated against unwelcome and I can not express enough the humiliation in a public place that I paid to attend. At that point I had no other choice but to leave, I wanted to crawl under a rock and cry. It was totally unprofessional and discouraging for someone who’s interested in acquiring a new passion for roller skating. This staff desperately needs training in customer service and in etiquette; they did not offer to help me get up nor did they apologize for laughing. Nothing. It the worse most humiliating experience of my life. Yes right there in Hollywood Connections Columbus Ga. Do I need a lawyer? …For emotional distress caused by this establishment? If anyone knows one, please leave it in the comments, that would be greatly...
