Big Lots — Attraction in Concord

I was profiled and lied to at this store. I had an online order for a frame and mattress in Kannapolis and the order was canceled. I called the concord big lots to see if they had what I ordered from the other location. I was told they had the frame and the mattress I was looking for. They even placed me on hold to confirm it TWICE! I thanked the woman and said we were on the way. I was there within 20 minutes and after speaking to lady in furniture I was told, only the mattress was left. She was extremely rude and offered no help to find it anywhere else. She just stood there and looked at my husband and I, like we were inconveniencing her. She then finally said the frame they had was on hold for someone else and I “clearly wasn’t her”. RUDE! I said it was probably me bc I just called n they were holding it. The lady said well it wasn’t her I spoke w and went and got another girl. Both women walked up and both said they haven’t spoke to anyone all day. Lie! Bold face lie! Kimberly was one of the reps name. She was either holding it for herself or a friend bc she would only “clearly” know I was/wasn’t that person if they didn’t know them personally. I said I just called and someone told me they had it and to come to the store. She rudely said “well, regardless we don’t have it.” I was in customer service for YEARS so I was not being rude to her. There was no reason for her bad attitude and rude behavior. I was about to spend $1000+ at this store. The woman had an attitude the whole time. Bad customer service! ABSOLUTELY WILL NEVER EVER return to the Concord...

Visited 5/10/23 between 3 & 4 pm. Had every intention of buying a sofa and loveseat. I asked the older white associate who was in the furniture department for help. He was at the furniture station alone staring at the computer screen and when I asked if I could ask some questions, he never turned around, but sighed real big and said "yeah what ya need'. I said we have a few questions. He never turned around but said "ok". I said could you please turn around and look at me as we are interested in a particular sofa and loveseat. I went to the furniture department Sunday, around 06/15/24 around 5:30. I waited for over 20 minutes to get some assistance, I notified the front cashier that I was wanting to purchase some furniture and he mentioned he’ll call someone over. Well when she came out from the back, the lady in charge of the furniture was told she had customers waiting for her, and she responded by saying “I don’t care who’s waiting for me, they can keep waiting, it’s not my job to work in the furniture department, and left.
