Odd experience to say the least. I was warned by locals that this place was a little awkward to navigate because there is no host stand. I thought "that's not weird, let's check it out".... I was wrong. It's discomforting to walk in and around all the seating areas and options before bumping into a person that works there. I'm not sure why you would want to invite the potential chaos. We were told we could be accommodated to sit in the dining room area, before being redirected to a table in "the game room"
The servers in the restaurant were SHOUTING to guests in the restaurant about their seating choices.
Witnessed a table have to go inside and request to be served, and our server kept walking away... like took 1 persons drink order, walked away. Same happened when we ordered food.
Our server was no were to be found when we wanted to pay the bill, we gave our bill, card and $20 for change. We had to ask for the card back. It came back not charged, with $10 in change and missing the to-go order.
I've never been to a restaurant that is so disorganized that they can't tell who paid their bill already.
The to go soup was packed in a cup because they don't have to go order containers for the food on the menu.
The food: always looking for decent vegetarian options, the "veggie wrap" had three pieces of zucchini and was loaded with arugula, a spot of hummus. Overall, I'm willing to pay for food that is thoughtful, delicious and not over priced. I couldn't say that about the $17 of bread and arugula marketed as a meal for non meat eaters. Jokes on the customer I guess.
I hope both the front and the back of the house get it together because the concept and...
Read moreI came with my daughter and two granddaughters for lunch. We arrived at 12:15 and ate outside. It was very nice as they have outside games to play. Little did we know the girls needed something to do. Upon arrival there were three picnic tables with people. Our group made the fourth. We got our water immediately, then another 15 minutes passed before the server came by to take our order. Between the time of ordering and delivery of our order, two of the original three tables left and had new customers who ordered and both tables received their food. We had ordered a starter-the Mediterranean plate. This came with the rest of the food. Our youngest said she was starting to feel â hangry.â We waited 40 minutes before our food finally arrived. The hummus wrap had a thin layer, if any of hummus. We used the hummus from the âstarterâ to give it flavor and moisture. We asked for extra plates when ordering as we were sharing. We had to ask again for them when the food arrived. Our ketchup was almost empty. We asked for a refill on our now empty empty glasses. A pitcher was thrown at us with plastic cups. ???? My daughter asked what the issue was and was told, âitâs busy.â We counted five tables outside with customers. They were only...
Read moreOk there was a lot of buzz in town about the old restaurant being rebranded into something fun. Well it was not even close to fun. Same layout, same boring wooden walls and dated bar. Apart from a neon sign Nosh nothing was sparkly or worth attention. I can hear beer lovers argue with me about their beer but Iâm not judging their selection of beers. Their âspritzerâ came out of a can which they didnât disclose on the menu with a 150% markup. The caramelized onion dip tasted decent for the first 3 minutes before turning into a flop of white substance. The veggie platter that came with a teaspoon of hummus and other Mediterranean dips contained old soggy cuts of carrots, peppers, watery radishes and old cucumbers. The worst dish was the street corn which was charred beyond recognition and had absolutely no flavor. The only redeeming factor were the mango habanero wings which tasted decent but the aioli color was grey. My question is why come up with a posh name like Nosh only to deliver substandard food. Definitely not worth the...
