Fairbank and Perry Goldsmiths — Local services in Concord

I don't tend to leave reviews, but having found a shop as rare and wonderful as Fairbank and Perry, I felt inspired to change my ways. I came in because I had a loose stone that I wanted to create a custom ring for, and immediately I fell in love with everything in the shop. Each piece they make is gorgeous AND one-of-a-kind, thanks not only to their skill and talent and the sumptuous metals they use but also to their exceptional taste in selecting stunning stones that are far superior to what you'll find in most jewelry stores. I can't imagine anyone not finding something to fall in love with here, and a bonus is that they're located in the heart of Concord, so there are lots of little boutiques and cafes within walking distance. The women who run this shop (yay for women-owned businesses!) are real goldsmiths--artisans who hand-forge their jewelry at the bench instead of doing everything on a computer, which seems to be the way of most jewelry these days. As for my ring, I worked with Geraldine, who really listened to my ideas and then came up with something even better than I'd imagined (she hand-draws everything, and even her drawings are beautiful). As for the ring itself, it exceeded my expectations, and I may or may not have done a little happy dance right there in the store when I saw it. It's meticulously crafted and comfortable to wear, and it makes me happy every time I look at it. I can't say enough glowing things about...

I started working with Geraldine right around when COVID started. She was always warm and welcoming and went out of her way to help me create the perfect custom engagement ring for my partner. I am not someone who knew much about jewelry at all heading into this process and Geraldine was very helpful when it came to guiding me through different options and designs. When her shop closed due to the pandemic, Geraldine continued working closely with me - sending me sketches of possible designs based on things we found that I liked and staying in contact over email. I couldn't recommend her work more. The design we settled on was within my budget and very unique. My partner is frequently complimented on it and I feel good knowing I was able to work with Geraldine to create something special for her. Geraldine even checked in later to see how the proposal went and see if I needed to resize the ring. I'm not someone who writes reviews, but I really recommend her and will certainly be back when I am looking for jewelry...

I purchased my engagement ring about 1 1/2 years ago from Fairbank and Perry and absolutely love it, I went back to talk to them about designing my wedding ring....one week before my wedding! Things were very busy and I was stressed and had almost decided to just use my engagement ring at my wedding due to time constraints and procrastination I must say, however, a week before the wedding I decided I wanted to at least go talk to the designers about my ring and assumed I would not get it in time. They were awesome and we designed the perfect ring together and as expected they did not think they would be able to order the materials in time for the wedding...because I didn't give them any time! However, 4 days before my wedding they called me to say they had rushed everything and were able to get the materials in and the ring was made, they felt it was very important that I have the ring for the wedding, can't thank them enough, it made our big day even more special and perfect!
