If you want a fantastic, and I mean FANTASTIC cake for a special occasion, look no further than Sally Ann!!! I tried this cake at a neighbor's 60th birthday party about 5 years ago, and it has become our go-to special occasion cake ever since. Ready...chocolate cake with mixed berry ganache filling and chocolate ganache frosting!! We always order a half sheet, which always ends up being too much because it is so rich. The berry filling between the layers is the perfect compliment to the chocolate and the ganache frosting is beautifully done...no gritty store bought frosting here...top notch all the way!! Chocolate lovers look no farther..your cake has arrived!! You won't be disappointed. I ordered the Tuesday before a Saturday grad party and had no issues at all. The girl who took the order by phone was pleasant. I want to support local businesses, and know that my adult daughter has raved about this place. Unfortunately, I went here for their advertised breakfast sandwiches and was very disappointed. Not only did they cost $8 each (!) but the "veggie" option contained, literally, two leafs of spinach and the rest was bread and egg. Nothing else. Furthermore, I have a problem with a place that doesn't post prices. Menu in the window doesn't have prices, no prices in display case, and only coffee drink prices posted inside. As much as I wanted to, I can't recommend them, especially considering there are stellar options nearby -- Haute Cafe, Cafe Nero, Main...

We had Sally Ann's bake our daughter's 3-tier wedding cake, a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. It was SO PHENOMENAL, that guests kept asking the caterer "who made this cake???" I'd been told today's 20-30 yr olds don't like wedding cake -- well they loved this one! There was not a morsel left. Bill Griffin, the wonderful, kind and talented baker who owns Sally Ann's, clearly puts love into everything he makes.
