Moved here from yelp: I always have a great experience at this location. The management staff are fantastic, even though I miss the ones that have since moved on to other locations (Burlington) or jobs. They always give a friendly greeting and modify drink orders to be just right. I also love that the Cafe Nero app has a student email verification for drink discounts - makes it more cost efficient than Dunkin or starbies. One note is that you need to ask for the matcha to be made darker green if that floats your boat, and it makes you pay extra for that in the app. The actual matcha powder is quite good though. One more note is that I have noticed the sandwiches have less content in them then they used to, to the point where now there are entire bites of just bread. I definitely have to inspect the sandwood options now before purchase and cannot buy them on the app ahead of time...
Read moreThe food and the atmosphere is great. I'm a big fan of Cafe Nero's in general. In this particular store however, the staff is really aloof. For example, if you need to pop in for a morning coffee be prepared to wait 30+min with 1 person ahead of you in line. On my most recent visit I was the only one in line and 3 separate staff members walked by with their eyes down, either checking their cellphones or whipping down counters. I actively said "good morning" to get their attention. I get it, there is a lull in time, we all need breaks - however the simple acknowledgment that you have a customer, like - "Hi, be right with you" would be fine. This is the 3rd time I have had this experience, and have had to turn around and walk out several times due to the lack of attentiveness from the staff. Love the coffee chain but main issue with this location is lack of consistency. If you order a drink with any flavoring the amount of syrup added really depends on the person making the coffee. Same thing with the ratio of milk to espresso in lattes. I love the option to put in a mobile order but the orders rarely come out correct. Especially if you put any requests in the notes section, or when it asked whether you want your food heated up or not. There are a few very consistent employees that seem to follow the same protocol who are very much appreciated. Again, love this coffee chain and this location but consistency would make the overall experience...
