The Farmers' Market in Rosemary Beach is worth a visit. It is smaller than it used to be, apparently because of restrictions imposed on the market. Parking is limited so be prepared to look around for a place to park.
On my most recent visit, we parked a few blocks away without searching for a closer spot. It was a nice day, very warm and sunny and seeing some of the houses in Rosemary Beach is a good experience anyway.
The vendors are friendly and the food is fresh, as far as I could tell. I always search for "Mano's Authentic Health Food" and he was there and had a full selection. The food is mediterranean with a number of authentic dishes.
I also bought some honey from Register's farm. They have tupelo honey which does not seem to be reduced to sugar while sitting in a pantry as some types of honey do. They also have a number of other dishes and selections for sale.
On this trip, I found a bakery stand. The couple make the bread themselves and drive to Rosemary from Pensacola for the market. It was very fresh, healthy whole wheat bread (at least the loaf that I bought--other options were available) and the people there were delightful to work with.
This is a pretty area. The Farmers' market is not always less expensive than a grocery store but the visit and venue are enjoyable, the food is fresh, and the vendors are enjoyable...
Read moreHave been coming here for a couple of years now and love it. The vendors are friendly and have great homemade products.
I only wish there was a true farmer or someone that grows their own vegetables there. I miss the seafood guys as well as they always had great prices and great cuts of fish.
Manos' hummus is the best in the tri-state area. I can't stand hummus, at all, but have no problem sampling his. My fiancee has to have it every time we come. He's super friendly and a great conversation as well.
Highly recommend as it's a fun thing to do on the weekends...take the doggies too as they have water out everywhere. 30A Treats is a big hit with our Cooper and he is very picky. If he loves 'em, you can bet they are super!
The guy selling the premade crab cakes, I apologize but can't remember his name. You need to go by as those things are phenomenally tasty. He's from MD so he absolutely knows the right way to make them.
And the lady selling the cinnamon rolls and bread, OMG! I have a massive sweet tooth and can eat a pan of these a day. She does different types/flavors of homemade bread that are...
Read moreWe were quite impressed with most of the vendors at the market. Matter of fact, all but one of them were extremely friendly and welcomed us inside of their space. However, the female vendor with the interesting crystals was cold and rude!! My daughter and her friend wanted to purchase two large crystal towers for Xmas. As we tried to decide which one was perfect to their liking, she threatened to MAKE us purchase the crystals IF we broke it. While I understand we could be liable for damages, her delivery and tone was absolutely terrible and the girls noticed it right away! I asked them to put it back and we walked away. No way would we support this behavior!! By the way, she ONLY addressed us with her negative energy, and there was at least five other customers looking at...
