Re: Best Deal purchase experience of a Toyota Prius 2007
Oscar and Miki,
I took the time to sum up my car buying experience with Best Deal and I thought I would share it with you and see if you had any comments or questions.
April 29, 2020. Purchase. I was only given one key and was told Best Deal could get me another key.
June 23, 2020. Had to take back for service and to get another key. They could not get a key to work. I was told when I purchased the car they could fix this, and then they found out they could not. I had to take the day off and take it to their locksmith and it cost me $314. For that I just got a spare key- the remotes on the car never worked. So I have to use a key every time I want to open the car, with no fob remote to work, and the lock/unlock button on the door does not work.
July 7, 2020. Brought in for repair- the dash board warning lights all came on. I paid $100 for the repair.
August 15, August 29, and September 1 -Car was brought in for service because the dash board lights kept coming on, including all warning lights.
October 15 the same problem occurred again. The car sat parked in my driveway from October 15 to November 12, trying to get an appointment.
January 15, 2021- dash board lights came on, including all warning lights.
February 6, 2021 The dash lights came on again. I was driving it to Best Deal and the car stopped while I was driving it. I was stranded at Conroy the intersection of Kirkman. I had to have a towed to Best Deal, and I had to call a family member to pick me up on the side of the road. Miki said it was out of gas. I had just put $5 in. They said it was out of oil completely. That means it ran out of oil since being in the shop in November. it was in the Best Deal shop at that time. That means in 3 months it used 5 quarts of oil, but I was told that it was not leaking? Did they check the oil in October? Miki called me soon afterward and said it was ready to drive home. It stopped again on the road. I got stranded on Conroy again. Someone helped me push it off the road, and I had to call a tow truck again. That was twice in one day! AND I had to pay for the tow truck both times!
+When I called Miki and told him the car had stopped on the way home, he said to tow it back to Best Deal. Then in a few minutes he called me back, while I’m still sitting there waiting for a tow truck on the side of a four lane road, and says don't bring it back, they don't want my business anymore they're not going take care of it.
+Every time we have had a problem and had work done, we have been without a car at least 2 weeks. I call for an appointment and it is always the next week before you can work us in. Each time it takes two people to drive the car over and 2 people to pick it up. 5 repairs-10 trips by 2 people. We are without the car for 2 weeks each time. That is 10 weeks—2.5 months out of owning the car for 9 months.
+Oscar and Miki, I wanted to send you this information to be sure you understand what my car buying experience was with Best Deal. Please, if you found any thing in this letter that is incorrect, let...
Read moreDO NOT BELIEVE THEM ON THE PHONE IF THEY TELL YOU A CAR RUNS GREAT..They are LIARS! They thought they could get the best of people who weren't from the area looking to buy a car cash. My husband is working in Florida and I came across their Craigslist ad for a Lincoln MKZ. My husband took off work on their promises that the car was in excellent condition. He traveled 2 hours to see this car and as soon as he fired it up, the motor sounded like someone was choking a rat!!! Car salesman asked him if he wanted to see anything else..uhh NO you are liars to begin with! My experience, DON'T BUY FROM A LYING CAR DEALERSHIP! Stay away from this dealer..they are DECEITFUL! They are out to just make that buck and don't really care about their customers.
MY RESPONSE BACK: Regardless, he had someone there he trusted that had a valid driver's license that COULD test drive that vehicle. My husband is a mechanic/construction worker and if that was the ONLY thing wrong with that car, he knew it would have been an easy fix, he would have purchased it. Instead, we got a better deal from an individual who was honest. I understand you don't want bad reviews..start by being completely honest with potential customers. In marketing, sometimes, your best business is from your repeat customers. Those customers that are long-term. You could of had A LOT of business from us and from associates of ours, but you guys lost out on money...
Read moreMickey is a very nice guy with amazing customer service. I contacted him personally to check if the car I was interested in was still available and he always responded promptly. I came down to check out the car and took it for a 15 min drive. And wow. I bought a beautiful red 1997 Honda CR V (named her Cherry Bomb) in January. Mickey gave me a $200 discount off the listed price (value-wise more, the car is in amazing condition) since I paid in cash and check the full amount for the car the same day. There are NO DEALERSHIP FEES! I left with the car and a nice temporary tag. They let me know I had about 30 days to pay for the tax/tag/title (THEY DO ALL OF THAT THERE! NO DMV!!!) but if I needed more time, I could come get a new temporary tag. This was an extra level of care from the dealership that I hadn't expected but was very thankful for. I'm a college student and this is my first car, I owed a little over $450 for everything else to be fixed up. Last Monday I drove down 40 min to get my tag/title/tax handled and now I only have to worry about gas and insurance. Finding this place was a blessing. I was a pretty-broke college student looking for this specific car model at an affordable price in good condition. I've always wanted this car since I grew up with my dad having one. (His is a '98). I reccomend this place...
