Bill Smith Appliance company disappointed me. We are returning customers and we were pleased with their sales an service with our first purchase of appliance packages 5 years ago. Not so this time! The LG Range, one of four appliances to be delivered, did not work when they first attempted delivery. I called the salesman while the delivery crew was there and he said he’d order a replacement and to have the crew remove the range. I guess the delivery crew was not happy with that as we found after they left that they had strewn trash from their truck all over our front yard. I sent pictures to the salesman but never received a call back with an apology. Now today, the 2nd range was delivered with the exact same problem. (Different delivery crew). I thought that the odds that 2 ranges had the exact same issue (display panel not lighting up) meant that we were doing something wrong. I called the store and spoke with the sales manager. He didn’t know how to resolve the problem so I suggested that he call the service department and see if a tech their could provide help. He told me I had to do that. He also said that they would have to come out and look at it. Asking if he knew how long that would take he said again that I would have to call service to find out. In less than a week we are hosting Thanksgiving dinner. A working oven was essential. I told him if he couldn’t get this resolved asap, I would have to cancel the entire purchase. That meant nothing to him. He could care less. So it’s off to another appliance company and goodbye Bill Smith. I am actually sad as I thought they were one of the last few companies that actually cared for their customers instead of treating them like a number. I guess that’s the trend these days. So...
Read moreI went here trying to support a smaller business but wow, do I regret that now. I ordered a range and refrigerator. It took several months to get the refrigerator and over 8 months to get the range. When the refrigerator was delivered they advised they would call 30 minutes ahead so I could leave work and meet them. Of course they did not and when they arrived I told them I was 20 minutes away and they were rude to me and hung up the phone on me. Then the salesman called and was rude asking me why I was refusing delivery. I told him I was not refusing but I was driving home in a rush as they did not call ahead like they said they would. He said they told him I was refusing and they were leaving. I told him I already waited several months now they treat me like this? They finally agreed to wait which was only 15 min and it was delivered. Then it took 8 months for the range to arrive (which home depot had in stock). Every time I called the woman who answered was the most lazy rude person I have ever dealt with. She needs to be fired as her customer service is horrible. If you hate your job that much then quit! When the range was finally in they called me and the first thing they asked was if I still wanted it. I told them of course, I paid for it 8 months ago. It was installed without issue. Read moreQuite disappointed by our experience. We went here because we like to try locally owned places. We have a lot of experience with various styles of appliances. Currently, we are only looking for a refrigerator. We went in stating what we're looking for is a top freezer, the largest cubic feet available. No ice or water. We have a GE Opal ice dispenser that we love and don't use our current freezer for that. We were informed by Yuriy that those ice makers just mold (according to his "son's experience; he just threw his out") and are too expensive. We explained that we know what we like and prefer our ice maker instead of taking up freezer space. He continued to inform us that people don't want the top freezer. We explained that we've had them all & that's what we prefer. The kicker was when he walked us to the clearance. Apparently, those "that prefer top freezers, want to see clearance, too." No sir. Those that prefer top freezers are mature enough to know what they want and not be persuaded by your tactics. We found what we wanted elsewhere. Luckily, others were willing to listen and help us to find what we were looking for.
