Im not big about reviews i always believe that you need to try it to like it but a situation happened to me that i needed to write. I had NEVER had any manager or anyone help me out like the ihope manager bobbi at the port Charlotte branch by Cochran the food was amazing like always. You definitely get more food always left over an im kinda fat so lots of food lol so today i had a little problem i went to pay (our waitress was amazing and sweet) oay the bill and my debit card got declined i had no idea why they were extremely nice about not rude at all surprising most people would be judging and temperamental not these ladys extremely polite and understanding. I had to call me bank and my card was put on hold (over an Amazon order) i was freaking out i mean i just ate thier amazing food but i couldn't pay at that time the bank needed me to come in and go over the statements so my kind server went to get mrs bobbi the manager and let me tell you she was the most genuine. Generous and forgiven and understanding she calmed me down im trying to leave my phone my information. I had the money just couldn't access it. This manager has no idea who i am or if i was just trying to get a free mean this women jad compassion and paid for my and my daughters meal she just wanted me to pay it forward i never met bobbi before and she was absolutely amazing and warm-hearted. The world would be amazing with more bobbis in it.. i was so terrified because i couldn't pay and a complete stranger of a manager was my knight and helped me .. bobbi i appreciate you and your staff. We were quickly led to our table, and at that moment, we really appreciated the lack of a wait. However, our experience took a turn when it came to service.
Our waitress, Alexis, seemed completely detached from her role. She only came to our table once to take our order and then appeared again only when our food was finally brought out. Unfortunately, after the initial service, we didn’t see her again, and she never checked in to see if we needed drink refills or any additional assistance throughout our meal.
To add to our frustration, our pancakes were delayed and arrived just as we were finishing the last bites of our meal, delivered by another waiter named Jimmy F. His demeanor was refreshingly warm and attentive; he asked if we needed anything else and, when we requested some drink refills, he handled it seamlessly.
Once we finished our meal, I politely asked Jimmy for a to-go box, which he brought back promptly, along with an Arnold Palmer— a refreshing mix of iced tea and lemonade— to go. During that interaction, I mentioned the lack of service from our original waitress, Alexis, and he expressed his sincere apologies, assuring me that this wasn’t the standard we should expect during future visits.
As we prepared to leave, we were surprised when Alexis approached our table to apologize for her disengaged service. It was a brief encounter, but we appreciated that she took the time to acknowledge our experience. To make matters worse, our waitress was rude and argumentative when I politely pointed out the mistake.
