My usual nail shop was closed, so I called to schedule a gel manicure and regular pedicure for 3pm. I was quoted $40 for the gel manicure and $35 for the pedicure. Upon arrival, the lead tech/manager asked if I wanted my nails to be cut down, I said just a little. I was then told that it was an additional $10 to remove the gel and cut down. The tech (Irene) had already started the work so I felt obligated to continue. I chose my colors (mauve and glitter) and reiterated that I wanted gel on my hands and regular on my toes. The lead tech proceeded to locate my choices and handed the polishes to Irene. Irene meticulously worked on my nails. 💅 She was meticulous and slow. The clock struck 5pm and my husband walked to the salon from his job. That wasn’t too much of an inconvenience, however, she did not finish until almost 6pm. And the colors in my nails were nit the colors I chose! I chose mauve and once my nails dried and we looked at them in the light - the color was burgundy! I mentioned this and said u would be back for a polish change another day. I called to schedule the polish change and the lead tech/manager tried to justify the mishap by stating that oftentimes gel and regular colors don’t always look the same. I simply told her that wasn’t my issue. My issue is that the color was not what I chose. It was wrong. 😑 So she scheduled the appointment and said she would fix it. Once I arrived, another tech (Joy) proceeded to Leo use excellent service. She tried various color combinations to ensure that I got what I wanted. She also acknowledged that the previous color was not mauve! At any rate, upon completion I was charged an additional $45 for a polish change that was not due to any fault of my own! Joy offered a $5 discount. The lead tech said, “well like I said before sometimes the colors don’t always match.” Ummm excuse me, I chose colors from your color wheel. What do you mean?? Anyway, I paid and tipped Joy as I stated that I was not very happy about paying for someone else’s mistake. The lead tech rudely said, “ok thank you bye.” ✌️ At that point, I just walked out. I will not go back there! I almost feel sorry for Irene and Joy working for this person. Rudeness and sarcasm is not necessary. Accountability is everything. Kindness...
Read moreI’ve gotten my nails done few times and was completely satisfied with the result and experience every time!! All the employees are all welcoming and accommodating to your needs. They definitely take the time and care to make sure the color and design is what you want!! They have wide variety of colors (most of the nail polish came from South Korea which I think lasts longer and color payoff is way better than American brands so it won’t feel or look thick on your nails) and a lot of design options are available that you usually see on instagram so you can show them a picture of reference from it! I used to hate getting my cuticles cut because first of all my cuticles isn’t the easiest to deal with so it always hurt at other nail salons and seem like they could care less if I was in pain or not but here they noticed it and try their best to make it painless as possible. Also, I recently went in to get my nails done I got my eyebrows done too and was very satisfied with it. They were quick and thorough with it. Made it clean and followed my natural eyebrow shape and didn’t make my brows skinny like some place. Will definitely make it a routine to get it done every time I get my nails done!
They only recommend and give tips in the best interest of the customer on a professional stand point but never pushing to get something done that you don’t want. They offer other services too so give them a try you will not regret it! This place is the only nail salon I will go to from now on can’t find any other place that has the same standard and work ethics as this...
Read moreI read some negative reviews so was a little nervous but had a positive experience. You may have to deposit a reservation deposit which is how I did when I lived in South Korea. But they include that fee when you pay.
I also had originally had a reservation pedi/mani but canceled the pedi last minute, and the owner was nice about it. (I did have an another appointment and didn’t want to feel rushed into having both done.)
I tried the cat eye and the nail stylist/tech helped me choose a color I liked. I usually do nails only for special occasions. The lady had shorter curly hair, and I didn’t catch her name. I speak limited Korean, but she still made me feel relaxed and welcome. I mostly watched a Korean drama in the background and enjoyed treating myself.
I don’t really love my hands but she made my nails pretty, and it gives the illusion of elongated fingers instead of my sorta squarish fingers. Be careful leaving as I did scratch one of my nails and it left a small imperfection.
The thing about cat eye is that a magnet needs to be used. I noticed not all the nails were symmetrical shine, and there were some bubbles. It is a bit pricey as you have to think of this shop as a specialty Korean nail shop, and their pricing is different. Overall I...
