Read moreMy wife & friends have visited Crab Island 3 times, and we love it every time. The shallow water is perfect for wading & enjoying music and games with friends. Having all the surrounding boats, food, and vendors is also very unique. The water here is gorgeous and renting pontoons in the nearby areas can be affordable, especially when splitting with your group. The ONLY reason I took a star off of Crab Island is the fact that- regardless of the time of year we have been- there are ALWAYS jelly fish in this area. Not like, you see one or two jellyfish and think "cool", but nearly invisible pieces of jellyfish that have probably been sliced up by all the surrounding boats. Crab Island is a fantastic destination for a fun day out, especially for adults looking to relax and enjoy the sun. This popular sandbar area offers a vibrant atmosphere but is not particularly suitable for small children.
One of the highlights is the food service available on-site, although it's worth noting that the prices can be steepâhamburgers are around $20. To save some money, I recommend bringing your own food to enjoy throughout the day.
The area is perfect for hanging out with friends, and you can rent pontoons or even tiki bars to enhance your experience. It's a great spot to sip drinks, play water games, and socialize with people from all over the country. The water levels are generally safe for wading, making it easy to meet new friends while soaking up the sun.
Overall, Crab Island is an excellent place to spend a day enjoying the beauty of the outdoors and creating...
