Boogies - Misleading customer advertising occurs when a product or service is promoted in a way that creates false or exaggerated expectations, leading the consumer to believe they are receiving something other than what is actually offered. This can lead to disappointment, frustration, and a breach of trust between the consumer and the company.
Take, for instance, a dolphin tour advertised as featuring a glass-bottom boat, allowing passengers to view the underwater world and observe dolphins in their natural habitat. Potential customers might be drawn to this tour, excited by the prospect of a unique and immersive experience. However, upon arrival, they discover that the glass bottom is either too cloudy, too small, or poorly maintained, rendering it impossible to see through. As a result, the primary selling point of the tour—the opportunity to see dolphins through the glass bottom—is unfulfilled.
In this scenario, the advertising is misleading because it fails to deliver on the promises made to customers. The discrepancy between expectations and reality can lead to customer dissatisfaction and damage the company's reputation. Furthermore, customers may feel deceived, having invested time and money into an experience that did not meet their expectations. Effective advertising should accurately reflect the features and benefits of a product or service, ensuring that customers receive what...
Read moreMy review is solely on the fact that we had an emergency while on crab island and getting the kid back to my car thru the boardwalk was a nightmare. We had no idea where to dock briefly in order to get the girl off the boat. There was no wheelchair available for use. I asked 3 people for help, and none of them knew who to call or what to do. We eventually had to load the girl in a chair and carry the chair from the doc to my car. Finally someone opened a gate for us for me to at least back my car down into so that they didn't have to carry her up the stairs or all the way to the elevator and then thru the parking lot to my car. Finally a guy on a golf cart did pass by while we were loading her up and did assist us on getting out of the parking lot quickly so we could get her to an urgent care. There was a girl who was trying to help us...however we couldn't wait. We didnt catch her name, but we are grateful for her at least trying. This thankfully was only a broken leg. Had this been an emergency situation, things could've gone badly. We later found out that the coast guard could've helped us, however no one made us aware of that until after the fact. I suggest a protocol be put into place for future emergencies and at least an accessible wheelchair for such incidents. I would also have every charter out there make their customers aware of the Coast Guards availability for...
Read moreIt's a great spot if your looking to schedule a tour or fishing trips. Saw plenty of booths for that. They have a handful of restaurants but if you look at their reviews not 1 really shines or stands out. We wanted to order a drink so we stopped at AJ's . Well the only thing we were able to get was water and the only reason we even got that was because it was self serve. 3 bartenders and not able to get 1 drink that tells you right there the type of service they provide. As we were getting the self serve water their was a guy waiting on his oysters that he ordered 30 minutes earlier. We definitely passed on this place. Just a FYI to the owner if your making a $100 a day imagine having good employees and making $200 a day . Obviously I used a small amount to avoid confusion on saying if your happy with what this place makes imagine being happier. They have a few stores a zip line which we did was fun no complaints there all people running the zip line were super friendly. From the girl at the register to the gentlemen on the zip line towers definitely recommend trying this. Overall it's a location to get you out of your room but nothing really stands out besides...
