Curry Village — Attraction in Oakhurst

Loved this place-- restrooms/shower houses were cleaned/stocked regularly. Food at Bar 1899 (Beef Ribs, Sambal Wings, Smash Burger) and Pizza Deck (Garlic Bread and Half Dome) was fantastic. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. This was a first time at Yosemite for us, and we loved being in such a central location in the valley with so many trails/views close to base! The tents are close together, so if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend ear plugs... they do have them available at the front desk upon request, but if you have a preference/type-- I'd recommend bringing your own. We didn't have too many issues with the white noise of the heater and respectful neighbors, but it is something to prepare for if you're sensitive to that...

I loved everything about Yosemite and Curry Village. I loved the heated cabin and how quiet it was and how beautiful the views were. The sound of the waterfall, the stars as night, the quietness of the forest. I loved the food area, with the pizza, and the 1899 bar, and their incredible Kale salad. Curry Village is so authentic. It was as close as I will get to the way Yosemite was 100 years ago. The staff in the food area and the reservation people were wonderful. Covered tent/cabins with heaters in the cold months & real beds right next to the sheer cliffs that Yosemite Valley is famous for. Absolutely beautiful & convenient location. You can head out to hike right from the front door of your room. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Overall great experience, but I do think the nightly fee is a bit too expensive for...
