First off this shop is Amazing, I love it. I collect and mod game consoles and this shop always has what I need. Today I got a SNES mini here. I saw a review on here earlier that said their MSRP is 80 and that this place is way overpriced. I've been looking for this product for months and any place that sells them for the MSRP sells out almost as soon as they come in stock, their site doesn't even have a chance to update. Resellers are selling these things online for Mid 100s to low 200s and that's why they're so hard to find in store. I honestly think it's great that they don't mark up this product more because they totally could and would still sell it. While I agree that it's a shame that everybody can't buy the Nintendo product for the MSRP because Nintendo hasnt put out enough supply to meet demand I'm glad that local game shops are willing to sell it at this price range so that I don't have to buy it from scalpers. I love this shop because the selection is always great and the staff has extensive knowledge on everything from games to the specs of specific console models. Sure you could probably find the same stuff cheaper online but it's going to take forever and you can't determine the quality with your own eyes. The mark-up the shop does is minimal and I appreciate it, because of that markup they always seem to have at least one of what I want in stock. People just need to realize that local shops need to sell things slightly more expensive to keep a decent stock and a good shop running and I am happy to pay that extra 10 to 15% to keep an awesome local game shop running so I don't have to sell my soul at GameStop. So lady thank you for your post that said they're selling that too expensive because of it I knew they had one and got it myself. neener neener.

I've been coming here for about 8 months and I absolutely love this place! They have so much to choose from including many of the "Old Skool" 3rd party controllers and cables, along with original ones of course. Everything is priced right at market value so you know you're not under or over paying for things here, and if you think a price is outdated you can let them know and they'll take it into consideration. The staff here are all the nicest people you will ever meet, it is clear they are all gamers themselves and love what they do, I've come here so much that some of the staff has gotten to know me a little bit. In the 8 months I've been coming here I've only had to do 1 return due to a 3rd party Wii sensor bar malfunctioning after a day, and instead of giving me another 3rd party replacement, they gave me an original one which is still working great. They have a 30 day warranty on everything in the store and you can easily return it to either get a replacement or something else that matches the price for free. Still unsure if they do direct refunds because I've never had to get a refund there. Something else I should say is that this is all coming from someone who goes to garage sales all the time looking for this stuff for good deals, I still love coming here because they always have something that catches my eye and it's good if I need a specific item asap (A cable, controller, game, etc) cause there's been countless times I've bought a lot of stuff at a sale or ebay and it's missing a cable or controller and it's easy to come to this place and get one real quickly. The picture attached is just all the Sonic games I've gotten from here (Except Sonic 1 Not For Resale and Sonic Advance) so I would totally recommend this place to people.

Went in to exchange or repair a ps2 i bought from them that was broken since i bought it, lady with the face piercings at the register was tremendously rude and hostile from the start treating me horrible and made me feel extremely uncomfortable for asking common customer questions. I then asked her what the problem was and she assumed I was mad I couldn't return the Playstation without a receipt. I was simply trying to explain to her how last time I came in with the BROKEN controllers they sold me and Gian swapped them out without an issue, no receipt. He also sold us the Playstation 2 a couple weeks before that and told us that we could bring it in if there's a problem and so long as we had the sticker on it he'd take care of it. She responded with "well I wasn't the one that helped you dude" in the rudest teenager like tone you could imagine. She didn't offer me an option to get it repaired either. She offered no solution at all and went to test the system. As she's testing the system she continues to rudely make comments like she doesn't want to serve me. When I questioned her rudeness I was the verbally attacked by the brunette women. She was clearly defending her friend even though her friend was being blatantly rude. They told me to come back at 12 and I could speak to the manager,. We waited 2 hrs in the parking lot and went back inside and a male associate tried to sweep it under the rug by immediately replacing the PS2. He would not address the situation by stating "I don't want to talk about it, you can talk with my boss if you'd like"...I thought he was the boss?? I personally felt attacked and ganged up on and the employees made me extremely uncomfortable with the way they spoke to me. Most of their systems break within a week or broken from the start. They expect you to keep a receipt for a 90 day return policy which is ridiculous. I was going to buy a wii, with games and controllers as well as more ps2 games with the exchange but after howni was treated by this woman I chose to spend my $300 at another retro gaming store. I will be in the store to talk to Gus about the situation on Monday because I was treated completely unfairly by his employees when they were in the wrong. I've been a manager for several different businesses and that would not have been acceptable behavior...

Been a regular here for years and it's easily my favorite game store in the area. 9/10 times they'll have what you're looking for without even having to call in to check. Staff are nice, love to converse, and super chill. They tend to get new games in about a day before street date and even sell them for $5 under market price.

A few days ago, I took in a Wii U GamePad to get the screen replaced and bought a copy of Paper Mario TTYD on GameCube. When I got home, I realized the volume slider was stuck and the case to TTYD was printed on computer paper. I took them both in today and they fixed the volume slider for free and let me switch out my ugly case with an official one. (Had to pay an upcharge for the good case but that's understandable, game's super rare.)

Only criticism I have of the place is the rewards loyalty card. The card says one punch per $15 spent and ten punches (in other words, at least $150 spent) gives you a $20 coupon. However, I was told that they can only give you one punch a day. The employees and manager have been super lenient about that with me for about a year and give me multiple punches when I make big purchases or multiple purchases in a day, but I wonder why the rule is there in the first place, and I wonder if non-regular customers haven't been given the same considerate treatment. For major purchases like consoles or incredibly rare games that cost hundreds of dollars, I understand that a local business bleeding $20 coupons might be harmful, but surely a middle ground could be reached, like a three-punch a day limit instead, or one punch per item $15 or over. I'd imagine that these cards are great ways to generate regular customers and develop loyalty, so severely limiting the loyalty given back to the customer seems off to me. If a customer is willing to spend more money at a local store, the customer should be rewarded.

Amazing store that I make a half-hour hike to over GameStop or other local game stores because they're selection is massive, their staff is friendly, and their service is incredible. It's...

My husband is a casual collector of skylanders and likes to check out game stores for ones he doesn't have yet. My 5 year old son has also recently gotten into skylanders and saved up money to go buy his own. This week he had enough and was excited to buy his first skylanders by himself. We took him here and my husband helped him pick out skylanders he didn't already have but would help him reach more areas. My husband also found several he didn't have - they happened to be variants or special ones because my husband owns all the regular. My son's choices were all regular ones because he had to purchase within his limited cash amount. When we went to pay, we were informed that because there was a deal going for the skylanders and we came in together, we could not pay separately. It didn't matter that my son had his own money or that the toys were for different people (my husband doesn't let my son play with his unless he has extra). They would not let us pay separately and my son could not afford to pay for the more expensive ones that would be left if we put everything together. Since we came in for my son to buy something and my husband had only decided to purchase after seeing the options, my husband put his choices back. Even with their deal of buy 2 get 2, it would have cost my husband $40 to buy his 4 skylanders. My son got his $10 worth and we left. We were already very frustrated and going to leave a review, but after getting home we realized we'd left our 2 year old daughter's water bottle at the game store. I called and they confirmed they had it. I drove the 20 min back to the store and found the water bottle on top of the skylanders display where we left it, out where anyone could grab it. Literally anyone could have taken it, as evidenced by me taking it without telling anyone because I was so frustrated by the store already and only moreso after seeing the bottle just sitting out. We are very frustrated and disappointed by this experience and will not be choosing this location for our future retro...
