It’s 91 degrees out so me my bf and daughter decided it would be fun to go bowling. White sands had league bowling today so we couldn’t get in, they compensated by handing us 2nd game free cards for the three of us for when we go back. Cool, so we move on and try the only other bowling alley we have access to in town. We show up and there are a ton of lanes open with a birthday party on one side and family’s on other lanes. The attendant informed us there were no lanes available with bumpers for my 8 year old to use, nor were there any available ramps. So I said ok no problem would she be able to bowl for free because she will not enjoy getting gutter ball after gutter ball ? The attendant said no. And we waited for maybe a discount offer for her or something to compensate for the fact that she has no other option... but nothing we said okay no problem, thank you turned and walked away she then told us how white sands has league bowling in hopes we didn’t know and would stay... no, sorry... we opted just to go home rather than pay for my 8 year old to get pissed over and over for not having bumpers. This was extremely poor customer service... so instead of losing out on a game, they lost out on 4 games two shoe rentals and food/beverage purchases. Poor way to do business in my opinion, I would have been fine with any sort of compensation for my daughter down to a free soda would’ve been fine by me. But nothing? This is why I will always choose White Sands over this bowling alley. They have running arcade games, better food, cleaner and their customer service is way better. Bowling is supposed to be fun not a hassle nor an inconvenience. Good luck with customer retention.... I’ll be taking my...
Read moreI had quite the worst time at Fort Walton beach bowl. The place is run down and dirty. The rental shoes were coming apart at the bottom and were visibly dirty. Not to mention the whole place was dull and dingy.
The best part of it was the lane that we were given kept getting our personal ball stuck. The male staff said it was because it was dirty. Then he said he cleaned it off… then it got stuck again. Then he asked if the ball was old.
This was where it got me puzzled as to whether the relevance of the ball being old had anything to do with it getting stuck because we never had issues at other bowling alleys with our balls. It was strange. Then it kept getting stuck over 5+ times despite the change out to a “newer ball” we had. Not to mention all of their balls were dirty and in bad shape with deep scratches.
The fries I got were overpriced more than I expect bowling alley food to be. Plus I got a larger size to get it half full. I would advise driving down a little further to Destin for quality. This place was not it. We asked for a refund for our 2nd game but they don’t give refunds but offered us games for next time which I doubt will not be a be a next time. Then we left shortly after because the ball kept getting stuck and we couldn’t play smoothly and to have the staff blaming us was just the...
Read moreThis is a 15-20 lane bowling alley. They have two pool tables and several arcade games. There is an adult only bar you can go into. They do serve food. They also have lockers to use.
The bowling lanes are not bad in appearance. They had plenty bowling balls to use when I was there. On a busy night this may present a problem because it didn't seem as if there were enough for the busiest of nights.
Of the five arcade games They had only half of them were in working order.
I did not utilize the bar area I only looked into the door. They do serve beer. I cannot tell you what kinds.
They serve your typical foods for skating rings and bowling alleys i.e. pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, and soda. They serve Pepsi products. The pizza was extreamly greasy so I had to dab it off with paper towels. The pizza was 16" and was $14.50 They do offer a pitcher of soda option for $7.50.
The two pool tables are not in the best condition. There was tape all over them. They have not been brushed. The bumpers are all lose so the que ball does not go exactly where you are trying to get it to. You cannot grab much English on the tables. We did not let all of that stop us from playing four or five rounds.
I would love to see this place Chris sproused up. Would like to visit again to leave...
