This little restaurant might not have all the bells and whistles like some other sushi restaurants, but it is so good and fresh! I told our sweet server that I was having belly issues and she created a roll filled with ginger for me! It was really good and she made us feel like family! The prices were good for specialty rolls too. My husband had a Sunrise roll with lemon on top that I fell in love with. I can't wait to go back! *Second visit, even better than the first! We are officially hooked and will no longer settle for other sushi place around town. Here was our meal today: Sunrise roll -- still just as fresh and yummy as last time! Philly roll -- I wasn't sure what to expect with this, so I had to try it. Steak, cream cheese, crispy onions and eel sauce, along with a couple other ingredients. It was really good! Oki Roll -- creamy and tasty. Sumo Roll -- Had a bit of a kick that hit you after you swallowed. ... We were very intrigued by the sushi pizza, but decided to wait for next visit. 😁 *Another visit.. Tried the Tisha. Loved it!! We always feel so welcome in this place and when I explained I was pregnant they were above and beyond accommodating! We plan to return quite often through this pregnancy and look forward to trying many new things with twists (since raw seafood is now something I have to wait a few months for!)

First impression was the inside was kinda dark (literally) but it was a hot day and they were probably trying to keep the place cool. Second impression was that this place was a great local place with lots of regulars. The sushi chef/owner seemed to know just about everyone who came in and knew exactly what they wanted. She was very chatty and engaging. She offered free sushi roll samples of the things she was experimenting with. Rolls were reasonably priced and good sized. The Japanese scallop nigiri was a total hit. Beer was cold and paired well with the rolls. She’ll make up any type of roll you want, the menu is not her boundary. If it wasn’t so far away I would become a regular. We will visit every time we’re in the neighborhood.

This is an old school restaurant that cares about the people they serve. To ensure you don’t buta bottle of sake you don’t like, Ms. Chong, the owner, insists you sample whatever you like. We found our favorite and purchased a bottle from her cooler of selections. The food is fantastic especially the garlic chicken, the steamed pork dumplings (best ever!), and the spicy Jaime Roll — named after our fave man in Walton Beach. Ms. Chong treats every person that walks in the door with the utmost respect and love regardless of your dress, orientation, color, or any other point of differentiation. Her warmth is palpable and real.

As we stepped into the tiny shop, we were instantly transported to a time reminiscent of the early Gulf Coast, where the air is thick with nostalgia. The soft strains of traditional Japanese music, playing faintly over the aging speaker system, and the subtle scent of sesame lingering in the air, welcomed our party of four as if we were long-lost friends.

We were greeted by a familiar old woman, her warm smile as comforting as the cups of tap water she placed before us. She asked us what we wanted, patiently waiting while still managing to navigate the small restaurant with a calm yet bustling energy.

The wait was longer than usual, but the familiar atmosphere made every minute worthwhile. The gyoza arrived first—otherworldly in its perfection, offering a delicate crunch that gave way to a tender, flavorful center. The ginger salad, though simple with its iceberg lettuce, was refreshingly light and satisfying. The eggrolls, though rich, were bursting with flavor, leaving us craving more with every bite.

Finally, the sushi arrived, each piece a masterpiece of flavor, embodying the essence of Japanese cuisine. The wait melted away as we savored every bite, appreciating the care and artistry that went into each roll.

If you have the time and are looking for an experience that warms the heart as much as it satisfies the palate, this little gem with its kind staff and authentic atmosphere is the...

Let me first start off by saying, regardless of the amazing food, I would go back to Dosirak just for Ms. Chong! The woman is absolutely amazing! Being able to hold a conversation with her while she is preparing the most extraordinary sushi you will ever eat, just sets her apart from anyone else. As you watch her technique and her ability to expertly craft amazing rolls, you cannot help but be astonished by her mastery of her art. And she does it her way! This is not your normal everyday sushi, this is authentic, this is sushi as it is supposed to be done. Going forward there will be sushi and then there will be Ms. Chong’s sushi. There truly is not median. My only problem, and it’s a personal one, is that I don’t live in this area to be graced by her presence as well as her amazing food. The best birthday present I will receive today, was being able to enjoy Dosirak! My wife and I cannot wait to go back! Thank you Ms. Chong for allowing us the privilege to...
