After visiting the Winn-Dixie at the corner of Treeline Pkwy and Colonial Blvd, I was very disappointed with the Winn-Dixie om Homested Rd in Lehigh Acres. The Colonial store had a wonderful selection of all fresh food, fruits, and vegetables. I purchased 2 beautiful Porterhouse steaks about an inch to inch and a half thick, and saved about $4. Per pound using my Winn-Dixie card. In comparison, all the Homestead store had were steaks nomore than breakfast thickness, unless you were lucky enough to find thicker ones in the butcher case. The fresh sweet corn was very, very small. Such that I felt guilty purchasing them; so I didn't. The Homestead store is a very poor example of the quality I'm used to at Winn-Dixie, and one would be well served to spend the extra few minutes, and pass this store up. Read moreDuring my trip I notice that all 3 facing of fish sticks were buy one get one free. While using the self checkout I the sale fail to come up. I alerted the employee who told me that the sale would come up when I cashed out. I hit the total button and the sale still did not come up. She then reached out to another employee to help her figure it out. The two of them come to the conclusion that the item should be coming up on sell but the had to get the override card to fix it for me. When the 3rd employee came over to do what I though was an override, instead she was walk off for 5 minutes. She finally come over to tell me that I took the wrong item with a picture on her phone. In most stores they honor the price they post and the information the first employee offers but it was clear this manager covered up the mistake and blamed me for the it. I will be doing my future...
